OH MY GAWD!! This truck needs to park outside my house at least once a week! I can’t believe that a baked papa could be this delicious! The first loaded papa I had was in Mexicali like three years ago. I’ve tried them everywhere since then and none had come close- I was so sad because we live like 2 hours away from Mexicali. BUT OH MAN, I finally found a papa that was even better than out there!

The Papas el Guero truck was parked at a small tiangis in Redlands on a Sunday. My husband and I just happened to pass through. I wasn’t even hungry but I decided to continue my search for a papa! Let me tell you- when I say these are THE BEST papas, I can honestly say they are. After 3 years of searching, I found the best! The papa is served in a big round tin with a plastic lid and every inch of that container is full-so much food. One taste and I didn’t even want to share with my hubby lol (but I gave him a little bite). Their salsa made it even better- I didn’t think it was possible, but it did. I ate half the tin (and I wasn’t hungry!) and saved the rest for my lunch the next day. The next day, I ate the rest of it for lunch and it was still SO GOOD!

I only wish I knew how to find out where they would be each weekend because they would have my money every week! I am a real fan of these papas. Next time I might bring home some corn too- but I’ll never pass on the papa!

This place isn’t very welcoming at all I’m here right now and nobody is here to greet me there isn’t anyone in the damn truck and it’s 5:45 pm this place is chopped and way out of nowhere. Came by to check it out because it looked good but didn’t even get to order. I would like to add they should have someone up front. Terrible terrible location.

9-5-2025, 8pm we visited the Palm Location. I spent $106 on 6 baked potatoes, 4 asada, 1 chorizo, 1 chkn and 1 package of strawberry candy, my order numbet was 62. As we got home and started eating my wife found a bug of some sort in her food. She excused herself and went to vomit. I asked what happened and because everyone was almost done with their food she said she felt sick. When we were alone in the kitchen she pointed it out to me. Definitely not worth the 20 minute drive there and 20 back.

Papas El Guero in Moreno Valley, CA, is a food truck gem serving mouthwatering loaded baked potatoes. With generous toppings like carne asada, chorizo, and cheese, every bite bursts with flavor. The friendly staff creates a welcoming vibe, and their refreshing agua frescas, like mango pina, are a perfect pairing. Fast service and a cozy setup make it a must-visit for hearty, delicious meals. Highly recommend...

After about a year of following Papas L Guero on Instagram, I was excited that they were finally at a location close to me. So I drove down there today, ordered the carne asada potato which was advertised as $13.99 on their Instagram highlight.

I was surprised when the total was $17 and I had no additions no drink no nothing.

Nearly 20 bucks for a baked potato?

I kept an open mind but it did not live up to the hype.

It's much smaller than it looks on Instagram, and nowhere near as much stuff piled on top.

It was a baked potato, and it wasn't even hot enough to melt the cheese on the top. So basically some cold shredded cheese, a couple tiny bits of sour cream maybe a couple tablespoons, some green onion and a sprinkling of carne asada.

They may have won me over if the carne asada was stellar but it wasn't. It was dry and rubbery. Super thin and almost like beef jerky.

And I'm not sure where all the salt was coming from but dang that thing was salty as heck. And I love salt so if I think it's salty, that's a lot of salt.

So overall, nearly 20 bucks for a baked potato I could have made it home for about $4 and it would have tasted way better.

Not impressed.

This is the best place to get fantastic potatoes. Everything they make is sooooo good! Tonight we're having the asada potatoes loaded with all the trimmings and esquites, which is delicious too 😋

Potato’s should not take this long to make. I’ve been in this line for an hour. They got 3 people on staff. This is stupid. I expect better. Especially for a big event.
