This A&W location was unfortunately disappointing. The staff were friendly and did their best but my food was subpar. My BF noticed his Papa burger had no lettuce, tomato or pickles on it, which it clearly should have. Then I noticed my cheeseburger had no pickles (doesn’t come with lettuce). When we brought them back to the counter to ask for some they said they don’t come with that and I pointed to the order board that clearly shows differently, we were then told they don’t have it on hand? It was 11:45am in the morning so clearly they hadn’t run out, guess they just don’t carry it? Honestly we should have been informed of this before ordering. To be fair they did offer to refund us but we declined and wanted to make the best of it. Turns out my cheeseburger, the bun was actually cold (like it was just removed from the fridge and slapped on) and the patty seemed like it had been cooked earlier and had been sitting around for a while and of course no pickles. Thoroughly unsatisfying. Only ate half. Cheese curds were good and my BF said his burger was fine other than the missing items. I would suggest passing on this location and going to San Rafael as that location has their stuff together.

Closing the dining area early is becoming a really bad habit at fast food restaurants. At this point, I almost wish I could just 1-star every fast food joint in the country... maybe the world.Update: I was mad when I made that review. The biscuits and milkshakes are nice.

As long as it’s edible, I have to eat it! I recommend the large size of cheese curds for men. They have more ingredients and are worth the extra portion compared to the regular size.

The worse burger I’ve ever ordered from A&W was at this Petaluma location! San Rafael is great , but this place is a dump! How do you mess up a burger ? They did it , it was so salty I couldn’t eat it ! Beware this place sucks!

Awesome American fare. I met the owner/operator Dave. Great stop on my way from Santa Rosa to SanFran - No ice in the rooter which is great because they truly care about their product, but that doesn't mean it wasn't cold - it has ice shavings on top. My only complaint is that I cannot get there more often. I had 2 chili-cheese dogs with onion, small fry and a lg root beer. Missing your mommy? Stop here and get a warm comfort food hug.

The Asian girl at the drive thru on 1 3 21 at 2:30 pm is amazing. She is always so friendly. Papa burger is the best. Side note KFC is also available at this location

Absolutely Horrible. We will never go back. We asked if they had gift cards/bear bucks. No, the service person stated. We could believe it no gift cards?? Our biggest concern was the food. We parked car and pulled out the hamburgers. COLD burgers! The mustard and ketchup slopped on the bun. Yuck. Obviously the burgers were precooked. Whats with NO trash cans either? Sacks everywhere. We would have went in the restaurant and taked to the manager but with COVID. Its not oven and drive up was pack. The cost was outrageous $19.20 for 2 meals.

I've been to this location three times and used drive thru. But won't be back. Terrible service. First time I waited forever for my food and it was cold. Last time they were out of stock of cheese curds. The line was taking SO long. It was the first time I ever got out of the line after I ordered. It is literally the slowest moving drive thru I've ever been to. Each time. Below par food.
