This little hole-in-the-wall spot has been recommended to me for years. Finally went, and it lives up to the reputation! Delicious food, very friendly and speedy service, and such a lovely environment inside. Will happily eat here again!

The food was good. Free parking. Inside and outside dining. Take-out food seemed popular. Service poor: After being promptly seated, we waited beyond 5 minutes before being acknowledged by our waiter (we were on the verge of walking). Service did not improve. BTW: Wouldn’t it be nice if we were checked in with shortly after the main course is served? A rarity of most restaurants in America now days. Our biggest gripe: hidden fees. Aside from being charged $50 for a glass of wine (it was corrected), we were hit with a “B.O.H” fee of 3%. No mention of additional fees mentioned on the menu and the manager states they don’t have to, because “all the restaurants are doing it.”
Awesome stuff
Food is excellent. They are busy....service can sometime be indifferent. But to be expected. We absolutely love the place.
Wonderful small place for dinner. Friendly service. Outstanding quality of food.
The Ribeye Steak and the Chicken Picatta was amazing and the mashed potatoes and veggies were delicious. Topped off with Tiramisu and a 10 year tawny was great. And it was fun the waiters and busser were really friendly and fun.

Food and service was outstanding!
We love the food here, however the service is absolutely terrible! We feel rushed, and pushed into getting something, for instance, the waiter said, “ what? You don’t want a salad? And none of us wanted a salad, but we felt really bad for not getting one because he walked away and shook his head no like he was disgusted with us. This is the second time with a different waiter. Both of them are very pushy and rushed and not personable at all! And we asked to see a dessert menu, and the waiter said, it’s in my head… he rattled it off so fast and didnt understand him. He was frustrated with us to ask questions about it!
The very best halibut with friendly service and a nice variety of fresh selections on the menu. Locally sourced vegetables

This is our neighbors favorite and he had helped us with a project so took him here as a Thank You. My wife and I had not settled on a "Favorite" Italian restaurant in our area and had not had dinner here before. I had the Calamari Doré and my wife the Petrale Sole, plus a Cesar Salad. And the Tiramisu for desert. The Calamari was tender withe the right among of tang in the sauce. Mixed veggies were correctly presented being mildly aldante, along with a whipped, real, mashed potatoes. Cesar salad fresh and crisp w right amount of flavorfull dressing. My wife's Petrale Sole, perfectly tender, flavorful with same accompaniment of sautéed mixed fresh vegetables and whipped mashed potatoes. Will be back!

We love Giostra! We love the food here! Every course is delicious and we have never had a dish we didn't love.
The wait staff is phenomenal! They do their jobs well, but more than that, we love that the same staff have been there since we moved here! This is the kind of place that makes you feel right at home, and that is in large part because the staff treat you like part of the family!
10/10 would recommend!

I thought the food was very mediocre. Excellent service but for the prices they charge we probably will not return.

The go to Eastside Petaluma restaurant. If you live in Petaluma and haven't eaten here you can't call yourself a Petalumin. The most consistent service and food quality anywhere. Italian cuisine you remember from your grandmother's kitchen. You will not be disappointed.
