I moved to Sonoma 4 yrs ago and have no idea where to go to get anything as tasty as Chunky's. I haven't been back to have lunch in that time. So, I called last week to order a flautas plate with rice and beans. Yum, it's still the same delicious food...Omgoodness Yey. The owner is always so nice and polite. He greeted me with a Hi and a smile. The food was ready in 10 minutes, it was 11:30 am, so it was beginning to get busy. As for cleanliness, it was very clean as always from memory and pretty quiet even with people starting to roll in. They have seating inside but there are a few tables right outside with trees for shade, if you prefer. I will always continue to recommend Chunky's for flavorful food and great prices.

So how do I order a $9 burrito (menu price--no problem)--they add a buck because I prefer shrimp (seafood), ok I get it, and then proceed to charge $12.45 (pre tax) for it? This is nowhere on the menu. I mentioned it to the cashier, but either remedial math is out of his wheelhouse or they are hoping the public doesn't notice how they are being cheated--since he brushed it off very casually. 90% of me wanted to make a scene, but I remained in control. Always like it here--until now

They have read good and reasonable prices. The taste and portions are good. The tacos burritos menudo tortas enchilada are very good. I love there black beans.

Chunky's is our go to Mexican place... And I'm not ashamed to admit that we eat here at least wanted two times a week. The prices are great. The staff is super friendly. What more could you ask for? We love the burritos... we love the quesadillas... and we love the potato flautas, their salsa bar is pretty darn awesome... Just watch out for that orange one, if you don't like spicy... But we do!

Good and not too expensive. Our kiddo likes it here too! Ordering at counter is super friend but wish the service was a little better when getting food delivered to table. I understand it’s not table service but getting silverware and a compete order including sides without asking multiple times would be appreciated. Otherwise we really like it here!

Food is good. The quality is hit or miss with the tamales. Sometimes they are delicious and fresh, and other times they are either very dry or mushy. The regular burritos are typically on point. The prices are great, but again you get what you pay for. Not the best Mexican food in town, but good for a quick cheap meal.
