Visited for dinner. When I arrived, there was no greeting or acknowledgment for several minutes. After about 4–5 minutes, a staff member came and said I could sit anywhere. I feel a simple welcome would have made a big difference, especially for a well-known brand like Denny’s.
The food presentation was also below expectations. Overall, the experience didn’t match what I usually expect from this restaurant. I hope service and presentation improve in the future.

Update 11/21/25: I have been coming to this Denny's for a while and it was usually a great experience. Tonight I came in to make a to-go order and, as usual, the service has been superb. What I don't understand is why it is so FREEZING in here! It is currently 44° outside and the vents are blowing cold air as if they have the air conditioner on! Thankfully I am ordering to go because I could not have done dine-in.

Been coming to Denny's in Petaluma for 2+ years for pancakes and coffee and it has been the best place to have breakfast or lunch, Edie has the Denny's running top notch of all the Denny's i have been to in California!
First time I have been back since they reopened after remodelling. The food was awful!! I ordered country fried steak. It was tasteless except everything only tasted of salt. I was very disappointed because the old place had such good food. ☹️I will not return even though waitress was prompt and pleasant. The place was very clean and nicely remodeled . But what good is that if the food tastes so bad?

The tenders were some of the best I've ever had. The server was busy but very kind and attentive (young possibly Indian man). Our food came out in 10 minutes or maybe less, very quickly.
