Every time I go here they get my order wrong and they skimp on the protein. Next time I’ll go down the street to el Roy’s or what a chicken. I’d have to be loco to go to el pollo

Food is ok. For the price can't really beat it. The only real annoyance here is that after every order is complete (as in it was discussed that the ordering has finished) the workers always ask if I want chips and guacamole. No. I don't. If I did I would have ordered it when I was still ordering. Is there no concept of finished with El Pollo Loco? Finished. No I don't want anything else other than what I ordered. Repeating the same thing as a way to try and increase the amount of money made per order in the drive thru is just annoying. Every. Single. Time. No I don't want any chips and guacamole. No thank you I said that was all when you asked me if there is anything else. No means no. NO. Does that complete your order sir? Yes it does thank you. Would you like to add chips and guacamole? No. I literally just answered your question that I had completed my order. NO No No No. Is it redundant yet? Yes I thought so too. I still don't want anything else after I complete my order.

The manager was so rude the night lady the other workers were so nice I'm so sad for the other workers that have to deal with her she was on a power trip.

Well for the second week in a row I'm writing a one star review and would like to leave a negative star review. I believe the crew must have been made aware of a negative review and I think they recognized me this week. The service was quite and efficient i compliment them on their much better service this the response I got was shocking. It was ya we like you too in a very sarcastic manner in fact flat out nasty. When I got and opened my food I knew they recognized me I will bet that they spat in my food and I was just nasty. Of course we didn't eat it. I still considering a call to the county health department and requesting a inquiry. The ownership or corporate management needs to clean house and terminate the entire crew from the general manager on down.

Some of the staff either don't listen or there's a language barrier. I've had to repeat my order multiple times at the intercom I noticed with the older staff. The service otherwise is ok although sometimes I feel like others get service before me even when I go inside and they've just shown up after me.

Ordered two 2 piece combo to take out. Asked for side orders of coleslaw, corn and mac n cheese. Got home and found the mac was replaced with a salad(?) chicken was over cooked and dry. Coleslaw was tasteless. Asked for two different kinds of salsa and received four of the same kind. Maybe it was my fault for not unpacking the whole order on the counter!?! The counter service was by two different women who, apparently, wanted to be somewhere else. Not a pleasant word or even a hint of a smile. The entire staff communicated in Spanish including standing in front of me. Not a business that we'll returning to nor we can honestly recommend to anybody.
Absolutely worst service ever. Employees were smoking in the bathroom and clearly by the sink near the drive through. You could see the smoke come up and then scared and wandering. I never thought pollo loco would get to this level. Seriously needs better management. I believe they were a couple boys that were smoking and high by the look in their eyes. A young boy named William and I believe the restaurants shift leader named Cecilio. I honestly can’t believe the manager is allowing them to do this and let this happen while they work. I can’t even imagine how they feed and serve customer’s. I can’t even think about anything like that going into the food. All the health code violations they are breaking. How disgusting and terrible management.
