Himalayan Grill & Dosa

We recently moved to Rohnert Park. We were craving for Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan Bread, our go-to Nepalese/Indian dishes. We found this place, just a quick 12-15 minute drive from our new place.

We ordered our go-to dishes—chicken tikka masala, garlic basil naan bread, mango lassi and free lentil soup. And we also asked for recommendations to try something new. They suggested the crispy cauliflower, shrimp saag, and chicken momo. Each of these dishes was so delicious, they did not disappoint!

The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and you can tell the food is prepared with care and quality ingredients. Although we used to have a favorite Nepalese/Indian restaurant in Windsor (where we lived before) however, it’s a bit too far now from our new place. So.. this one is now our new go-to.

We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu, especially their curries, tandoori, kebab, chicken and cheese dosa, and samosa.

We noticed that people kept coming in throughout our meal, which was a great sign.

If you’re nearby and in the mood for authentic flavors, this place is a must-try!

Today, I went out for lunch and ordered naan and vegetables. Unfortunately, when I began eating, I noticed that the food had an unpleasant smell, indicating that it might have been stale. When I brought this issue to the attention of the representative, they responded by arguing with me and behaving disrespectfully, even going so far as to state that they did not need customers like me. This interaction was completely unprofessional and discourteous. Additionally, the food was overpriced for the quantity served, which added to the negative experience. Based on this experience, I will not recommend this restaurant to others.

We had a great time here!!! Great service in a quiet little area, and the food was fantastic. Tons of vegetarian options.
Went there with family and it was perfect. The owner is extremely friendly and came around to say hi after dinner. Would definitely go back again!

Amazing food and amazing service ❤️

We just picked up some take out and were really disappointed by the small portion sizes in relation to the big prices (very expensive just for vegan curries--Aloo Gobi) and the garlic basil naan was extremely oily and doughy.

We really love the Windsor location and had high hopes for this one but will probably not return.

My family and I had a great meal at Himalayan Grill and Dosa!! Everything from the momos to the subzis was absolutely delicious. Our server and the owner Sonam were both very friendly too. We will definitely come back the next time we’re in Petaluma!

On September 6, 2024, I ordered a delivery of tea and snacks (fish pakoras and vegetable pakoras) at a Petaluma hotel where we had a family function. Vegetable pakoras were not cooked well and they hardly had any vegetable inside them. The fish pakoras were the worst I and other guests had ever tasted. They were the size of cherries and just a trace of fish in them.

This place is awesome !!! The quality of food served is outstanding. Fresh and super tasty dosas and authentic Momos. Great customer service and the atmosphere is very welcoming!!! Highly recommended !!!

Great food and service. Busy but stayed attentive. We will definitely be back. Family owned, very nice people. Loved the food both times we've been there.
