My favorite Place to eat when I'm craving Chinese! Great customer service! Amazing delicious food. Huge portions and worth every penny!! Highly recommend, plus it doesn't smell fishy like all the other Asian restaurants I've been to.
We stopped at Lily Kai Chinese Cuisine in Petaluma for dinner after a long day at the Russian River Rodeo. The restaurant is tucked away in a small center just off Lakeville Highway, but inside it’s surprisingly spacious and comfortable. We were seated right away, and the staff was friendly and efficient throughout the meal.
For starters, we ordered the Crispy Spring Rolls, which are shown in the first photo. They came out hot and crisp, served with sweet and spicy sauces on the side. The rolls were light and not greasy, which is sometimes an issue at other places. Along with the appetizer, they brought out a pot of hot tea, which was actually very good—a nice touch that added to the experience.
For mains, we had the BBQ Pork Chow Mein, Mongolian Beef, and General’s Chicken, as you can see in the second photo. The portions were generous, and each dish was fresh and well-prepared. What stood out was that nothing was drowned in sauce—each dish had its own distinct flavor and you could actually taste the ingredients. The General’s Chicken had a good balance of sweet and savory, and the BBQ Pork Chow Mein came with plenty of tender pork and fresh noodles. The Mongolian Beef was loaded with vegetables and had a bit of a kick, but not overpowering.
Service was quick and our orders came out in good time. The dining area was clean, and everything seemed to be well-organized. There weren’t really any downsides on this visit—everything went smoothly. Lily Kai has been a local staple in Petaluma for years, and based on this experience, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back.
If you’re looking for solid Chinese food in the Petaluma area, this is a reliable choice with fresh ingredients, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

I picked this place to cater a lunch party of 50 people. Everything was delicious and there was more than enough for everyone to enjoy. I definitely recommend Lily Kai’s whether you’re eating in, taking out, or catering for a party. They went above and beyond my expectations.
The restaurant was recommended by my boyfriend's son. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I had the lemon chicken and it was amazing.
garbage delivery from instacart uber eats. the dumpling soup had pork in it and smelled. put it down the garbage disposal. i had a simple fried rice with chicken breast and all i asked for was no green onions. it had chicken egg and rice. no carrot no pea. looked like prison food. bland no soy sauce it was all white and looked like it was boiled. went in the garbage can. instacart app did nothing. buggy and failed. had to eat 40 dollars and the restaurant closed at 8:30 pm . worst delivery food i ever had since the invention of the internet. super lame
It was the most wonderful Asian American food we have ever had. Unfortunately, the servings are way too large. That said, prepare to have take home (oh how wonderful). Throughly enjoyed the service, wine, food, food, food. Yea, it's that good!!!

I went there a few years back and it seemed to be a nice restaurant with good wait staff. I went there this week and the staff was incompetent and wore random T-shirt’s and sweats like most common bad workers post Covid. The food was just ok. On the sampler plate three items were decent and the rest were over cooked and not good. There are plenty of other Chinese restaurants in Petaluma to choose from. I would pass if you have the option.

The best Chinese food in Sonoma County, hands down. I drive here from Santa Rosa and have never been disappointed in years, particularly enjoy their szechaun eggplant.
