Went with my family for the first time for my birthday and we had a great time!We got there just before 6pm and it was empty but by the time we left the restaurant was almost full so you may want to consider a reservation on weekends.We ordered way too much because we expected the portions to be smaller and were pleasantly surprised! Apps we got the green onion pancakes, pork potstickers, and bbq pork buns. The pancakes were a thick, fluffy pastry dough that was super crispy on the outside. I loved these! The potstickers were HUGE. You could easily make a light meal out of an order. For our mains we got spicy basil chicken, Manchurian beef, general's chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and spicy and hot string beans. I didn't find anything particularly spicy or notice any numbing spice from Szechuan peppercorns (granted I am getting over a cold lol). That said we loved our meal! For 4 people we ordered WAY too much but happily took it home. Overall we all loved the string beans (has a delicious garlicky sauce), Manchurian beef (fried and has a sweeter sauce), and general's chicken (fried with a savory/salty sauce). We loved that the rice had slices of bbq pork instead of small chopped pieces. I loved the basil chicken, but my family found it a bit too saucy. We also had a pot of hot tea for the table and drank probably 4 pots because it was a really nice jasmine tea, not bitter or overwhelmingly floral.Shoutout to Diana who checked on us throughout our meal, joked with us, and made us feel like we had been coming there for years. Honestly everyone we met was super nice.

You want Chinese food when you are in in Petaluma? This is the place to go! We shared the green onion pancakes (excellent!) and the crab wontons (not crispy enough). I would order the pancakes again. I had the wor wonton soup and the dumplings were obviously fresh made and not overcooked as often times they are! The BBQ pork in the soup was theeeee best I have ever had and when I go back I will order the BBQ on its own if that is an option! My partner had the seafood noodle soup and said it was the best he has ever had and he tries it whenever it is on a menu so that says a lot!!! I tasted my friends orange chicken and was disappointed. Once again, it was not crispy (like the crab wontons) and the sauce was very sweet. Our other friend had the Singapore noodles and loved them! I did not try but as you can see in the pic, they look divine! Can't wait to go back!

This is what greed looks like. People have been waiting an hour + ! The line is halfway down the parking lot. At some point you have to realize that you can’t accommodate the amount of orders you are taking. A lot folks Xmas Eve dinner was ruined. We waited for an hour in line to cancel and get a refund. When we finally made it to the counter they were rude and unapologetic. Ended up getting in and out.Parking: Usually not bad but tonight zero!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Lily Kai this evening. We were cheerfully greeted and quickly seated upon our arrival. There were so many delicious sounding choices, but we ultimately decided to begin with the variety plate of appetizers for two. We then shared sweet and sour chicken, a veggie chow mein and brown rice done to perfection. My husband also ordered spicy mango chicken which he said was delicious.Service was efficient and friendly.We look forward to returning to Lily Kai in the future.

The BEST Chinese cuisine you can find in ALL of California. I grew up not being a fan of Chinese cuisine until my partner begged me to try Lily Kai's, he and his family have been regulars ever since Lily Kai first opened in Petaluma. Ever since the first day I tried their food, I have become a regular as well. I absolutely LOVE their Szechuan noodles, chicken pot stickers, Wor wonton soup, Manchurian beef, and a must have is their crab cheese wontons (they are to die for). Highly suggest going here to anyone looking for great Chinese cuisine. Lily Kai's is the best! On top of their food being wonderful their service and atmosphere are just as high tier. Such friendly people and a lovely inside and outside dining area. I often do take out but have dined in just as many times. Thank you so much to everyone on the Lily Kai staff, you are all sweet and kind people, I appreciate you all.
