Passing through Petaluma and hungry, my mind hit on Lombardi's. I haven't lived in Sonoma county since the early 90's and I wondered if they were still there. Thankfully located in the same location, you pull in and the bbq grills out front are billowing smoke. Lots of parking. Once inside the place is bright and clean. I ordered the tri tip sandwich and waited with anticipation. I got my sandwich and found a table outside, on the deck. Opened up my sandwich to tons of thinly sliced grilled tri tip mixed with bbq sauce. A creamy horseradish sauce, red onions and tomatoes. The bread was a soft interior with a crispy exterior. The sandwich was as good as I remember. I was so glad I came here.

This is a great place to eat outside during good weather. The prices are expensive and everything except the dinner plates are a la carte. I ordered the 1/2 rack of beef ribs and small Greek salad. The ribs have that smoke "liquid" flavor to them; I dont think they use actual wood. The 3 beef ribs had very little meat on them, but the salad was good. I would definitely not return, because I dont think it is worth the money.

Lombardi's baby back ribs never fail to make me smile because they are so juicy in flavor I don't use sauce. I love also the family deal it's so good and healthier than kfc

I was lured in by the smoke pouring out from the smokers on the outside, certainly a great marketing tactic! I've only gotten the ribs so far because they're so good I don't want to try anything else yet, but I'll definitely be trying other items considering how good those ribs are! Only downside is that they aren't open later than 7 but just get there earlier!

Fabulous bbq sandwiches, including salmon. Prompt efficient service. Nice outdoor picnic tables.

One of the best places for a great sando, pasta salad and or BBQ ! They have catered our job site several times. Quality is always on point.

Great barbecue ribs! We enjoy getting take-out from Lombardi's. Highly recommend them.

Great BBQ spot! I was pleasantly surprised by the energetic atmosphere & many different food options. Despite the crowd, the staff efficiently managed the flow, ensuring everyone got to enjoy their delicious BBQ & sandwiches (I recommend the #14 or the #7).

Best BBQ sandwiches in Petaluma hands down maybe the north bay. Lee special is my favorite. My friend loves the BBQ salmon.

A great place to go for a consistently good sandwich. Their bbq items are good as well and the deli offers a nice lawn area with picnic tables for you to enjoy your lunch.

Ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich barbecue sauce on the side. Tri-Top was bland and no sauce on the side to liven it up. Chicken sandwich just okay, covered in sauce. Definitely NOT by sandwich go to. Such a shame, great location, and awesome picnic tables to enjoy the day. The staff is nice, just need to get the orders right.

Our noses alerted us before we even saw the place as we were driving by. Ribs, chicken, sausage, sandwiches and great prices. We had Asiago pasta salad and 2 orders of the meat plate with garlic bread. Our order was ready in about 15 min. We ate at one of the picnic tables outside. Will not hesitate to drop by again if we're in the area in the future.

Driving through, we were starving and needed a place to stop and stretch. They have picnic tables outside, a beer and wine selection, and best of all quick and delicious food. Kind of a deli counter, lots of people to help, so our sandwiches were out quickly. It was so nice to grab something that wasn't fast food. I got the chicken special, a little sweet- but hit the spot.

BBQ: so far I recommend the baby back ribs, BBQ chicken is so juicy, and the hot links have a good kick. Deli: I've only had the chicken salad and they definitely don't skimp out for sure it was delicious. My gf likes the picnic potato salad but I really like the jalapeno popper pasta salad with bacon oh man I get that on every visit and I'm not even a fan of cole slaw macaroni pasta or potato salad but this one hits different. Dessert: peanut butter pie is a staple so rich and decadent, the eggnog bread pudding is amazing, but the star of the show is the very rare and count yourself lucky when it's available is their berry cobbler with whipped cream only it's not really whipped it's more solid like a cream cheese icing all I know is that dessert is crack. You'll be dreaming of it trust me. The cookies and brownies are also yummy I'm going to try the Apple and Pumpkin pie next. Service: fast friendly family atmosphere the grills are right outside the front of the business where you can sit close by and get a whiff or sit further down by the grass at the picnic tables. Every weekend the parking lot gets packed you see cars parked along the driveway and on the side of the street it always feels like a party is about to pop off.

Great food. Killer BBQ and you gotta try it. Yes, it's high dollar expensive to eat here. But if you are in Petaluma you're probably used to not getting any bargains on food or eating out, no? Good food like this is worth it and harder to find now. I recommend the baby backs. Very satisfying flavor and always cooked right.
