Delicious BBQ and Deli Delights in Petaluma: A Longtime Favorite

I have been a customer of Lombardi's Gourmet Deli & BBQ for over fifteen years! I first visited during a weekend trip from San Francisco. I saw a crowd outside at picnic tables, enjoying meals. Curious, I stopped in to check it out and immediately became a fan!

Lombardi's is a family-owned deli and BBQ restaurant in Petaluma, California. Lee Lombardi founded it in July 1999. Before opening the deli, Lee enjoyed barbecuing for players and families at his daughter's basketball tournaments to help with travel costs. Inspired by this, he turned a vacant store at the corner of Petaluma Boulevard North and Skillman Lane into a deli and BBQ spot, starting with a small team of family and friends.

In 2000, Scott Nelson, at age 19, joined Lombardi's after seeing a promotional flyer. He became a partner in 2003. His dedication helped the restaurant grow. Lombardi's has won many awards, including Best Caterer, Best BBQ, and Best Deli in the Petaluma People's Choice Awards, showing its popularity and reputation.

Last weekend, we stopped by to order our favorite, the Tri-Tip Dinner. The place looked different! They remodeled about a year and a half ago; this was my first time seeing it. I usually wait in the car while my partner goes inside. The staff was friendly and helpful, as always, and the Tri-Tip was delicious. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying them out. Check their menu first; they have many great sandwiches, BBQ, sides, and salad options.

My top favorites are their BBQ ribs. Whenever I go in, I tell myself to try something else, but I often order the BBQ ribs or the Tri-Tip! For sandwiches, I like the Salmon and Smokin' Chicken Sandwiches. Their Gobbler sandwich is also very good. I recommend the BBQ Baked Beans and the Sundried Tomato Pesto Tortellini as sides.

On nice days, you can eat outside or get takeout. No matter where you eat, I am sure you will enjoy it!

Are you ready for this. We came from Sacramento to visit my daughter and her family for my grandson's birthday we all decided to go to Lombardi's for lunch where 10 of us in total three of them were veterans One navy two Army when we receive the bill we asked the waiter if they honor veterans discount? He said only active duty. My son who served in the Navy for 5 years question that makes no sense whatsoever there are more veterans than there are active duty I'm sure in Sonoma County that would be coming to this restaurant.

Apon existing the person honor a discount for a WW11 vet.

This place is delicious. I've only eaten here twice. All in the same week. I got a pastrami melt and the next time bbq ribs. The ribs had such good flavor. I really enjoyed them. I would definitely return although it's a little pricey it's worth it for the Experience and taste. I'll be back for more soon.
