Been coming here since they opened in late 70's. I've had pizza all over the world, including Chicago, NY, and throughout Italy, and always come back home here - this is the best, bar none. I always go for the double-crust, olive & mushroom, ask for pesto sauce on bottom layer and tomatoe for top, and add extra garlic. Over the years the crust on the bottom and middle has gotten a bit thinner, but it's still the best deep dish, double crust pie anywhere! Also, get a Lisa Isken salad to share, and finish with J.R. Rosen's cheesecake - you'll never have a better meal anywhere without a Michelin star. Prices have gone up over the years, but well worth it. Incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Genuine history in these walls, and oh so many great memories. (Look close at the brick walls, and you might see shells from where they dredged the Bay for sand to make the mortar. The bricks were made local too.) Downtown gets crowded so parking can be a challenge - be prepared to walk a block or two.

Grossly incompetent. Long wait time, mixed-up my order and while I was waiting for my order, they give me someone else's check and their credit card. I Don't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Attentive and kind staff, great service. Blue cheese iceberg wedge lettuce was delicious! Lots of blue cheese. Mushroom and pepperoni deep dish pizza was very tasty, crust and all. Got a small, was more than enough between my mother and I. We each only had a slice and shared the salad. Took the rest home! Very cheesy, lots of mushrooms and covered in pepperoni. Old building was very cool to walk through. Oldies rock playing while dining, but not too loud. Tasty, satisfying food, good service, good atmosphere.

Alright, pizza lovers, I've got to shout it from the rooftops: Old Chicago Pizza is THE place for the best deep dish pizza, hands down. ? I'm talking so good, it gives actual Chicago restaurants a run for their money – and, dare I say, beats them! Yes, you heard me. The sauce? Heavenly. The ranch? Don't get me started. It's like they've bottled up some kind of magic. Now, let's talk toppings because I've discovered the ultimate combo: pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage, jalapeño, pineapple, and red onion. It's a taste bud party, no lie. And for all my friends out there who think pineapple on pizza is a no-go, this place will change your mind. Even the skeptics give Old Chicago an exception because it's that good.Trust me, this spot is a game-changer. If you haven't tried their deep dish yet, you're seriously missing out. Best pizza spot ever? No question about it.

Pizza was cooked w cheese and sauce . The toppings were clearly cooked separately and were luke warm added after pizza was cooked. Expensive and not good.

Old Chicago Pizza located in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma is a family-friendly pizza shop. Famous for their different choices of crust and deep dish pizzas, this building is located on the second story of Lanmart Building. They also have a second location in Petaluma which is their take out and delivery service. This is in the Wilco Shopping Center. I compliment how fast they answer their phone there. As for the sit down and dine in restaurant, they have old fashioned brick and peach colored walls. They even have chandeliers! I liked their decor for sure.Ever since Covid the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays other than their delivery service. The afternoon I had come in my guest and I were seated right next to the window. How lucky we were to be able to watch the nice view of people walking and cars going by! The waitress we had received was very nice. She had an upbeat personality and had taken care of us very well. I hope all your employees are like this. They first start you off with sourdough bread and butter on the side. My guest and I ordered the cheesy garlic bread as the appetizer. Then we picked our own four selection of toppings which was mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, and sausage on a deep dish pizza. I love how filling even one slice can be! My guest and I only had one slice each and saved the rest for the next couple of days.Although they are well known for their delicious deep dish crust pizza, they do have options of thin crust, double crust, and even gluten free crust that you can choose from! There seems to be vegetarian options as well as they do have garlic bread and salads and of course pizza with vegetable toppings. They also have dessert, one that’s a gluten free option. They have alcoholic beverages from options of beer to red and white wine. They do have a bar there if you’re just feeling like drinks and not the whole dine in experience. The parking lot that’s right next to the Lanmart Building used to be the Cosmopolitan Hotel in the 1800s. The parking lot itself was apart of a scene of the American movie, “American Graffiti.”There is a parking lot right next to the building I had mentioned as well as a second parking lot right next to it. They are both 2 hour maximum time parking spots. Although the restaurant is on the second floor and you have to get up there through stairs there is an elevator for the wheelchair accessibility folks. To the beautiful people of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, I recommend trying this place out! With the historic building and the friendly employees you have found yourself a good pizza place!Dietary restrictions: They’re gluten free friendly!Kid-friendliness: Prices for kids does become cheaper.

This place is legendary. For good reason. My families favorite pizza and favorite place to dine out. And every time the pizza seems to be better. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Can't say enough about this place. Was there yesterday. Can't wait to go back.
