Our favorite casual dinner spot in town. Delicious, fresh food with great service.

Was excited to try out this place for the first time, until half way to eating my food the server brought my check. A minute later she came with the card machine and stood next to us to pay. We were Still Eating as she continued to charge us. We were rushed & the restaurant was not busy at all & it was noon!

We had an amazing dinner at Pho Sonoma in Petaluma! The restaurant recently changed ownership and is now run by a lovely family from Vietnam. Their food is authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

Our party of 11 was warmly welcomed, and every dish we ordered was full of flavor. I came up from San Francisco to visit my sister, and I’m used to having a wide variety of excellent Vietnamese spots nearby—Pho Sonoma easily holds its own in terms of taste and authenticity.

They offer a large menu with plenty of vegetarian options, which was a big plus for our group. Also, don’t miss the beautiful mural on the wall—it's a nice touch that adds to the warm, welcoming vibe.

Highly recommend this hidden gem. We’ll definitely be back!

From the location, to the staff, and most importantly the food, Pho Sonoma is genuinely such a treat downtown in Petaluma with a lot of passion and effort shining in every aspect of its operation. Special shout out to what I presume is the owner of the restaurant for waiting on us our last visit and sharing all the awesome facts about how amazing their food and kitchen are along with the gorgeous mural on the wall overlooking the entire establishment. Price wise its definitely not a daily visit, but a delicious treat whenever I really need some high quality Vietnamese.

TL:DR: Premium food, great staff, wonderful atmosphere, 11/10

This is in a very good location by downtown Sonoma. Side streets parking but it is nice to walk going ra to this restaurant. Everybody who assisted us were very accommodating and alert to our needs. Wide selection of food in the menu. Price is just right. Food is uniquely good and nicely presented. Serving is just right as well. Lots of condiments at the table. Place is clean as well as the restroom.

They have the best Beef Fillet Mignon cube in oyster sauce. So tasty and soft.

I don't know if it's a new management, but they raised the prices a lot and the portions aren't that good for those prices. At the Simmer Vietnamese kitchen restaurant, the portions are much better and the prices are cheaper.

In town for business, searched ‘Pho’, and found this wonderful shop in beautiful little downtown Petaluma. Easiest parking for an evening in a downtown anywhere. Service was fast, efficient, and kind. I ordered the beef noodle soup with brisket and flank. It was amazing, and very generous

The chef came by to chat; he commented how happy he was to see me packing up my leftovers. The beef broth making is a painstaking overnight process over a low flame to render all the benefits from the beef. His hard work didn’t go to waste, the leftovers will be a protein and collagen packed pre-workout breakfast.

Thanks Pho Sonoma! Until next time - and i’ll try to hold back my hunger long enough to take a picture first.

Sad. Came for lunch hoping for a nice pho. Chicken tasted old. Broth tasted like it was out of the box. It’s not the same place and not in a good way, tat is was when the original owner was here.

I ordered a pork bahn mi, bread was stale, it was half empty and had one tiny piece of jalapeño, meat was nicely seasoned and the dude taking my order was rude
