Should have believed the other reviews! Bland, greasy, and the Thai iced tea tasted weirdly metallic.

Solid Thai inspired yumminess. Love their Tom Ka & their special soup & their panang curry w/extra spicy Is super delish. Tiny but convenient location- a great take out option.

Pongo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant in Petaluma! There food is delicious. Every time I bring friends they also love their meals. The service is great and they have a very relaxed, welcoming vibe.

The owner has no idea what he is doing- THANK GOD he is supported by waitstaff who can manage the restaurant pretty much alone on a busy Friday night. I'm talking ONE gal bussing, host, taking orders... meanwhile ding dong is going at turtle speed, making sure he is staying hydrated... while I watch this poor waitress literally run around the restaurant. Cmon man, learn how to use your point of sale, DO MORE :( EDIT: Waited 30 min and finally got the server to check on my order. Owner assured it was on the way, they were just backed up etc etc. no worries "hey can you just check on my order? Make sure it's back there?" She comes back, turns out they were out of the dish I was waiting on, ding dong decided to just ignore the issue. Poor kid working there IS NOT getting paid enough

Came in on New Year's Eve for lunch with my buddy. We were the only ones here. We got the Thai nachos and Nicks noodles with beef, and a few of the tall draft beers. The server was quick an attentive and the food came super fast. I will definitely return. I have passed by this spot multiple times and always wondered if was good now I know. I will return soon to try some of the other interesting menu options and beers.

Just tried this place for the first time. We got Nick's special and the Ginger Rice. Both tasted burnt, although they didn't look it. These dishes had no flavor. Im not sure if this is an anomaly since I've only eaten here this one time, but I would not recommend it. Subpar.

It would be awful to witness a chef through kitchen window eating his own dinner, licking the grease off his fingers, and handling food in the best of times, but during this awful pandemic? It's enough to make your blood boil. This happened to me tonight. Sat there in horror as the young chef with blonde man-bun showed absolutely no consideration towards the customers. Heaven forbid he take his dinner elsewhere, wash his hands, and then return to his job. If you ate there tonight, I apologize for the bad news. Incredibly repulsive!

The food is 5 star, nicely spiced and the menu is extensive but also features hamburgers for young folk who may not like Thai.Nice wine selection and multiple tap beers, hence the "Tap" in the name.We went overboard with our order but it allowed us to sample a wide variety of food:Crispy Rolls were excellent, crisp and not a bit greasy.Yum Yum Cups with Prawns, served with romaine lettuce, a bit messy but delicious..Crab rolls which were soft and sooooo good. A must order if it is on the menu. Our choice of curry (of which there are many so it is hard to decide) was Panang Curry with PorkFinally we had to have the pineapple and coconut ice cream to finish. It tasted like it was just churned. We could have selected a soup, Hot/Sour or Coconut but there are others as well.Salads are also inviting as are the chicken satay skewers. And of course the Pad Thai is a must have as well.We will have to make numerous trips to try it all. They are open for lunch 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and reopen for dinner at 4:30 p.m.Pongo's is a 6 time winner of the Petaluma People's choice Awards and it is easy to see why.Carol

I fell in love with this place the second I walked in. Spaced out seating, welcoming and friendly staff, and a nice dine in setup. Loved the unique menu, and how we had choices from apps to burgers. I got the hard lemonade, the sampler, and the Thai BBQ Pork Plate; my friend got one of the sandwiches and loved the spicy ketchup that came with the fries. Everything was DELICIOUS! I had the hardest time deciding what I wanted to eat, soooo many choices. Loved what I got, and can't wait to go back and try more

I will be honest- I saw the 4 star rating and was excited to try this play. Since it is so close to home I have given it 3 chances and EVERY time it was a disappointment. We have tried the yellow curry, Panag curry, drunken noodles, pad Thai, and chicken satay. The only thing we ever finished was the chicken satay. Over priced, not enough flavor. I will not return.

Honestly it's most of a 3.5 star review... Recently ordered take out from here a couple of times recently and both times were just lacking. The Pad Thai was a bit greasy and the yellow curry was a bit mild and watery. There have been times where the food is great, but based on these last couple of visits I'm not exactly eager to try again just yet.

Good takeout food! A little on the pricey side but we love supporting local businesses, especially during pandemic times. We tried a variety of different items off their menu, and their food is overall a little bland, but still good. Vegetables seemed fresh. Go support a local restaurant y'all!!

We ordered three things and all were exceptionally bad. The pas see ew had the wrong type of noodles, they were almost like linguine pasta as opposed to flat rice noodles. The pumpkin curry was way too spicy and really not flavorful. The fried spring rolls were fine, just dripping with grease and oil.
