It's my first time here and I already know I'll come back again! I tried the pecan salad which is the best pecan salad I have ever had! It has generous amount of candy pecans and fresh salad. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture! There are lots of sandwich selections. Everything is served in Togo box which I thought is convenient for any leftovers to go! It's in a residential neighborhood with a bar inside. Draft beer is refreshing. You can sit in the bar or plenty of outdoor seatings. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is interesting. Definitely give it a try if you love beer and sandwiches! Oh and salad!!!

Everyone working at Ray's was so nice and helpful. Love the local feeling/ambiance that's casual and friendly, and everyone working there was so helpful from what bread paired best with our sandwich choices to what were the best flavored Yerba Mate's available that day. Great sandwich choices, drink choices, and not shown was a delicious Mac salad.

I just went a few days ago for my first time. Simply put and look no further.. this is the best sandwich you'll have in Petaluma. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could. I had their turkey club, and it's rare when a sandwich is made perfectly. I had to thank the guy who made it after. It was absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to go back. I've been in Marin forever and this is now up there with my absolute favorite spots. 5 big stars all the way

This place is yummy. The sandwiches! The 10,000 things on the menu! The conviviality! Great neighborhood sandwich shop, nothing fancy except some of the bottled sodas, everything delicious. I wish they were open later.

I forgot how much I love Ray's. I haven't been here in a while & suggested it to my friends today- everyone loved it. This is clearly a popular locals joint which is cool. The servers were all super friendly and down to earth. The prices are quite reasonable and portions substantial. I was pleased to see so many options for a vegetarian. I had the Demetri and it was fantastic. My friends shared a liver worst sandwich and raved about it. I love the funky decor-ambience here too. My friends agreed they'd definitely come back here.

Absolutely we will be back! Again and again. The Rachel I to die for. And the rest of the Sandos are mighty tasty too! Super old place tucked into western Ave. with a bar in the back. Just charming with oodles of character.

This place has been around for years and everyone knows you should expect to wait ~20 minutes to get your sandwich. I arrived outside the business 2 minutes before open, and first in line. I ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich, hoping a simple sandwich would be ready quickly. While I waited, people were walking in to get their sandwiches. It was clear that they prioritized phone orders over people coming into their physical business. I finally got my sandwich after 35 minutes. When I opened it, the bread was smashed and mushy and there was an obscene amount of mayo soaking the bread and oozing out the side. It was inedible without a fork. Very disappointed and honestly, that will be my last time going there.
This place is awesome. Great food and beer on tap. Plus the customer service is top notch ( Maddy is the best!) . I would recommend to anyone in Petaluma!

First time here, and now after trying food from Ray's, as a native Petaluman, I'm shaking my own head...I mean timing is everything, I know this, and yet it took me this long (*I hold out my arms really wide*) to try, why is that???Hands down, and up ? one of the best warmed up turkey-avocado sandwiches I've had in a long time, recommended to add aoli. Well balanced in flavors!

Excellent Deli, friendly vibes and lots of flavor in the food.A couple sandwiches had a star for spicy on them & I think just had Chipotle Mayo, we didn’t notice any significant kick, but to each their own, they were still delicious :)
