All-in-all a very nice experience. As a 55 year transplant from Chicago I would say it’s pretty good (only had beef so far). It’s not on par with Al’s, Mr. Beef, Portillo’s, etc., but it’s a decent beef. Also, I have to say, the fries are pretty darn good…next time we’ll see if the dog is close to Superdawg’s on Milwaukee and Devon outside of Chicago. I’m guessing not since they use Vienna and not Hebrew International hot dogs—but I’ll try it out and report back.
Parking: It’s located on stock-yard property, so it’s a bit of a rocky parking lot without any lines

Heard a lot of good things about the hot dogs here so went there for lunch. Planned on getting hot dogs, but the waitress told us there was a brisket sandwich that day. So we both got that. The brisket was like warm? Cold ish. Fries were ok, whatever it's fine. Tasted alright but got the bill and the sandwiches were $29 each. Spent $74 for two guys to have a sandwich and fries with a drink. I get the brisket is expensive, but would have been nice to know the price beforehand. Should have asked, but still it was cold. I guess maybe people who are around a lot may like the atmosphere, it wasn't my favorite. Might go back and try the hot dogs, not sure.

The Chicago beef sandwich is perfectly authentic, piled high, wet, great roll, and a spicy jardiniere. The parking lot/animal auction yard should get a Michelin star on its own.

The Chicago Dog was Legit, as was the Italian beef. Smoked brisket sandwich was tender, juicy and delicious.

Don't go to Roy's for the atmosphere. Unless you're looking for the feel of an old-time greasy spoon joint. Which I actually like. Definitely will go back to try more of the menu.

I gave 5 stars because, damn, decor, juke box music, location & only legit Chicago Style Hot Dog (Vienna dogs). No prob with the usual 10-15 minute wait, they make to order. Classic location. Solid OG vibes. $-$$ max, perfect ?

The biggest challenge the dirt parking lot. Love the idea of this place. Food is good, but challenged with the local.Great place that you should experience at least once.
Parking: As noted dirt parking, so don’t bring your motorcycle or a newly washed car.
