This place has a special kind of vibe. It’s not about flashy decor or a high-end atmosphere, but it’s definitely cozy and welcoming. The food is surprisingly good for what you pay. It’s not the kind that will make a food critic go crazy, but it has its wow moments. That said it rivals some of the best in the North Bay. The real deal here is how much care you can feel all around. They keep the menu interesting with new kinds of fish and sake, which is pretty cool for a place that’s been around for a while. The staff is great at explaining the menu and sorting out anything you need to make your meal just right. Oh, and a nice touch – the owner was at the door to wish us a good night when we left. Made us feel really taken care of.
