If you see an empty table when you walk in grab it because there won't be very many. They do have a couple of seats outside. Hopefully you will find parking because the food is good

This used to be my go to place in Petaluma but unfortunately it is really gone downhill over the last couple years it's a shame I really like it. The attitude is kind of played out and the food is starting to be marginalized. The portions have gotten substantially smaller and the quality is gone down. I emplor you guys to get it together I hate to lose this gem

This ended up being our final stop before heading home, and honestly, my favorite of the trip.
Sax’s Joint is a small, classic hole-in-the-wall diner serving big portions of genuinely delicious comfort food. The kind of place that feels local, unpretentious, and exactly what you hope to find when traveling.
My wife ordered the French toast and absolutely loved it. I went with a biscuits-and-gravy style breakfast with eggs and potatoes (I honestly forget the exact menu name), and everything was fantastic, hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
The staff were fun, friendly, and incredibly efficient without making us feel rushed.
A perfect ending to the weekend and exactly the kind of place we’d go out of our way to visit again.

We came on a Saturday and we're able to get seated outside pretty quick, it did get busy after but we were there around 8:30-9:00 am. The staff were all super friendly. We sat outside in the little alley way. There were heaters so even though it was cold it was still very comfortable. We also loved that people had brought there dogs and they had water bowels laying around. The food was amazing. Everything tasted delicious and looked amazing. We for sure will be going back to try other things on the menu. We loved the corn flake french toast and TTs french toast, bothe were amazing. We also did the make it a meal thing to add and egg and some bacon, loved that option. Highly recommend Sax for breakfast. We plan to go back for lunch too as that menu sounded amazing too. 😍

Absolutely amazing 50's style diner. Amazing menu and prices, I had the Sax special, basically a Joe's special anywhere else, and it was alot of food and I had a side of perfectly cooked crispy bacon and that was the MOST amazing breakfast I've had in a long long time!!! I also ordered the Kimberlina grilled chicken sandwich for lunch and OMG DELICIOUS it came with fries which were actually really good. I will most DEFINITELY go back again and this time I'll get a cinnamon roll as well. The staff was very friendly and the food came out really quick. again ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋
