I soooo love the burgers here. A great combination of lean and juicy. I'm going to miss it when it's gone.

The burger and fries were delicious! The food was prepared quickly and tasted great. The service was nonexistent, however. I think this place is better for to go food.

really good burgers, good seasoning. also great hotdogs and chilly dogs with real chilly and beef Frank's on rolls not cheap generic buns.

Great burger place! This was my 2nd trip to Scowley's and the burgers did not disappoint. This tasted very much like a burger you would do at home on the BBQ. Very clean interior and fast service. I may be committing burger blasphemy, but I prefer this burger over In & Out. Good fries as well.

Boring tasteless burgers, even the green chili burger was flavorless. Expensive for what it is. Fries are nothing special. In the middle of a strip mall. Yuck, don’t believe the good reviews.

I'm always on the hunt for unique and delicious burgers and boy did I find one today. The scowley burger combines a great sausage with a great burger. And you can't go wrong with chili cheese fries.

I've come a few times with my eye doc just down the road .. and today like all others I wasn't disappointed at all!

This place has one of the best burger joint menus I've ever seen. Its meats are grass fed and locally sourced. It has the new veggie burgers. You can get a beer if you want. I had the cheese burger my wife had the grilled cheese. Both were excellent. Mine was so good I only gave my wife one bite. She begged for more but it was a firm no. After 35 years one has to set limits and eating more than a bite from Scowley's was a bridge too far. Really, this is a very fine addition to the Petaluma dining scene. It is casual but clean and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it.

I can spend 10 minutes scrolling through yelp trying to decide on what to eat but every time im in the area I don't bother. I know exactly where I am going... Scowleys. Been here at least three times and can't wait to go again to try whatever else is on the menu. So far the scowleys burger is my favorite.

Best Impossible burger in town and best customer service around. And the buns are delicious!

Not from the area, the Yelp! Reviews were mixed.. im all about supporting new local small business. So i went in unbiased with a fully open mind. I wanted to like this place... Well.. not so great. Long story short, the grass fed/ burger or meat had NO flavor.. let me say that again, NO FLAVOR. like if you went to the butcher and got raw meat and just balled it up lightly grilled it up and ate it. No seasoning no effort , uneven cook, slight bloody juices, blah. Never even asked how i wanted it prepared. And the second big whammy.. MEGA EXPENSIVE. I dropped over $20 including tip per person. For that money i expect some wow factor, taste, something not bland subpar no effort. I also walked away hungry. The fries were actually good. That was the only good thing about the meal. Service was subpar as well. Can't remember his name but hispanic younger kid. Shoutout to whoever owns this place, he wasnt thrilled at all, when i mentioned it was my first time and i was excited to try this place. He just pointed at the menu and kept saying you sure you want all the toppings?? Ooof Inside clean but looked like it used to be a wingstop. In fact it still had wing stop tablestops, and metal crinkled walls like wingstop and the format like a wingstop. No effort on the interior revamp like no effort on the burger. It was close to 11:30 or 11:45am and no lunch rush. Some golf was on the tv set and 4 older ladies were in there they had to keep getting up to get things. The workers were not attentive. Idk whoever owns this place, maybe the kid is the owner? but its not gonna stay open long IF YOU act aloof dont care. And sling out garbage. Not planning a comeback here, ever. On the way out i asked the kid how long they have been open, OH UH SINCE THE PANDEMIC UH LIKE 8 months or year. Which was said in the most uncaring tone ever. Like whoever this person is hates working here, hates life. Whoever owns this place. Put some LOVE INTO THE FOOD. Let me repeat that PUT SOME LOVE AND SEASONING INTO THE FOOD. Make it memorable. Delicious. Take a cooking class. Or watch some YouTube videos at least. Take a trip to many local mom and pop burger joints That are BUSY DELICOUS AND SUCCESSFUL TAKE NOTES. I can list a dozen off the top of my head! Also the whole "mexican coke" thing said verbally and printed on the menu was lowkey offensive.

I was craving a juicy burger and decided to try this spot based on: locally sourced ingredients, supporting small business, and the fun backstory on the name (big fan of Bolinas). I ordered the patty melt and my partner got a double cheeseburger. The patty melt was melty and gooey, exactly what I was looking for. The double cheeseburger was massive, toppings were fresh, and the bun was good. If we lived in Petaluma this would definitely be a regular go to. Next time we are headed that way I'll definitely be back to try the hatch green chili burger!

An amazing cheeseburger! Properly salt and peppered with some other spices, really one of the best burgers I have ever had. Please try this place, yum! A side of pickles was a great lunch!

We ate here and it was just a little before closing that we came in. We'd been having a frustrating time trying to find a place to eat that was gluten-free, and Scowley's was recommended as one that could be trusted to avoid cross-contamination. We ordered cheeseburgers, with one of my eight year old sons getting a hotdog. Honestly, it was okay. My partner didn't get sick, which was great! The burger was alright, and I even had andouille sausage put on top, but lacked seasoning. I really expected to get more flavour out it, as the meat was great, but the burger itself just wasn't seasoned well enough. And maybe it was just me, but the sausage didn't add to the burger and competed with everything else. I ended up taking it off and eating it separate, but...I don't know. I just felt like there was so much promise and I didn't get to experience what it could have been. The great part was the bun for my partner's burger was GF, and she wasn't sick at all. The fries are in a dedicated fryer that puts no gluten in it, so she was able to eat those safely. And the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially as we were some of the last customers of the night, and were quick with our order and to take our gluten concerns seriously. If I lived local, I would definitely come back here and give it another shot. As a pass-through driver...well. If we can't find anything else and need to eat GF and this is close-by, we know it's safe and it was good enough. I know that's not a super ringing endorsement, but...you know.

Few restaurants excel at the details, and I have found not many burger places that deliver details the right way. However, Scowley's excels at providing a high quality experience. What's more, I could tell that each person at the restaurant cared about quality: from the first moment I called on the phone and placed my order with the superb employee Marco, and then throughout my visit when I got to talk to the owner Robert and hear his story. The food excellence is delivered in simple details: carefully chosen ingredients, well-prepared sandwiches, simple savory sauces, just-right fries, and friendly service. I was surprised and very happy finding this little gem as I was passing through Petaluma. I'll be sure to visit with my family every chance I get.
