Easily the best sandwiches in Petaluma. Now, this isn't Subway people so expect to pay $15-20 per sandwich, but it's worth every penny. And their restaurant is clean and bright and they sell lots of great Italian and Mediterranean grocery items. Definitely worth trying. Service is super friendly too.

Oh my gosh! This place is beyond words. Everything is perfect and yummy. Risotto with asparagus cake, cucumber salad and Americano sandwich of course add Galvanina Pomegranate drink and MoleCola. You'll think you went to heaven. Very nice service and cute place.

I stumbled upon this particular shop, thinking it was a bakery only to find out it's the original sandwich version of the actual bakery that opened about a block over! Lol I already have lunch, but wanted something for dessert and I ended up getting a tortoni and red wine. Sadly, they don't have any coffee here, but the server was incredibly apologetic and cute as he told me that their other store down the street had more pastries and an array of coffees. Lol if I had only known these two stores were the same or had the same owners, I might have gone there first since this particular store is open an hour later till 3 PM and the bakery closed at 2 PM. I walked into this Italian marketplace at 1:55 PM. Goodness! I may as well stay here! Lol. They played somewhat random music, but maybe it was just a playlist? But the ambience was very relaxed and I was able to get some work done as I waited a good 20 minutes for my dessert to defrost enough so I could eat the ice cream portion of the cream , the wine was delicious and paired, wonderfully with the ice cream as well as the granola topping the dessert itself. I will definitely come back here for lunch since this particular location has different types of bread and their bakery version only has flatbread which I rather enjoy but it's nice to know I could go a block over and around the corner to get actual bread as well as flatbread. Lol still too great cafes owned by the same owners and I love both of them!! I think I'll just go to the bakery first and pick up pastries before I come to get a sandwich at this location. Lol I'm a sucker for bread and pastries! Hee

My 1st time there. Very Good! I ordered the Turkey Sandwich # 6 Was soo delicious. The sandwich was made on Focaccia bread which made the sandwich so lite instead of a heavy Roll. Very tasty. Usually I can only eat half of a sandwich, but surprisingly I ate the whole sandwich Very Friendly Employees, and also very clean inside. Lots of assortment of Italian sodas. Seating is a bit small If you go for lunch, I would recommend going early. They get busy. I will definitely go back there

This little sandwich shop and store has delicacies galore. I had a pear nectar from Italy that was refreshing and delicious. But let's talk about that #2 sandwich that the proprietress recommended. Tasty! And if you need gifts for a foodie, this place has a variety from savory to sweet and a small, excellent wine selection as well. Run don't walk.

Obsessed! The sandwiches are delicious, we'll-made, unique. Our favorite is The Carmine, followed by Il Michaelangelo. The panzarotti (fried potato cakes) were a gorgeous surprise. They look like beignets, but are not sweet -- pillowy potato covered with crispy deliciousness. The atmosphere is so fun, with Italian pop of the 60s playing, tinned fish and bottles available for purchase, and poster art.

"I've been quietly enjoying my new favorite hangout spot in town, "Stellina Alimentari." It's open every day until 7:00 pm, except Sundays. When I went in, sat down, and had lunch or cheese and wine at dusk, I realized what a delightful spot it is. The Italian atmosphere adds to the charm, and I absolutely love everything about it!"

Wow, we were super excited to come here and drove from Santa Rosa to do so. What a disappointment, first off let's talk about the service. Not one smile in the whole place, if you're looking for a warm welcome this is not the establishment. Now on to the food. I could not believe my eyes when we got our sandwich, for $16 dollars we were expecting something substantial. WRONG! It was so incredibly small, about the size of my hand. The bread was stale as heck and DRENCHED in oil. There was about four pieces of extremely dry chicken and 2 of the four pieces were half fat. We spent $36 dollars on a sandwich and their beans and greens only to be starving after we split our sandwich. I'm very disappointed. One word to describe my whole experience... BUMMER.

Great food! The egg salad sandwich is out of this world. I couldn’t get it out of mind for days after! This is a small and cheerful atmosphere with lots of fun Italian goods for purchase if wanted. I might shop their wall one day for dinner inspiration. Stellina did a great job with this little space. Happy to see them on the boulevard, adding to our amazing dining options in Petaluma. ❤️

I stopped in after reading the review in the PD...tried the porchetta sandwich and was so surprised it was abes good as the review! I went back a week later and ordered the same sandwich...DELICIOUS! If I can tear myself away from ordering the same thing I'm sure I will also enjoy their other offerings! Great place...nice staff!

Delicious filling sandwiches, worth the price in my opinion! Staff are very kind too. Checked the place out because I love their pastries at Stellina Pronto, and it did not disappoint!

Delicious Italian deli and grocery. The sandwich was so large I finished the other half the following day. Highly recommend this local treasure. Service was fast (we ask for our lunch to go) staff was friendly. Cheers!

Italian - Deli style restaurant with retails areas where there are olives, pasta, beer, wine, & many other jarred / canned items are sold. Interior was well lit between natural light & over head lighting. There are chairs to booth seating along the right wall of the space with some high-top counter widow-front seating towards the front. This spot is a perfect LOCAL alternative to the big-name sandwich chains. This spot has quality ingredients that you can taste. This place is perfect for lunch. I went on a Monday evening & there was seating to spare. However, during a lunch hour, I would prepare to take-away considering this is GREAT FOOD, there may be little to no seating on a busy day. WORTH IT, dine-in or dine-out! Been meaning to try 'Stellina's Alimentari' after seeing it under the 'hot & new places' on Yelp! Today was thee day & I am so glad I did! I had been studying the menu, days & moments before entering the restaurant but when I arrived I was flooded with decisions, options, & the want to try it all! I was greeted by friendly staff & was given a moment to study the menu to figure out what I wanted. With some helpful assistance from the girl at the counter, I was able to decide on my order! My order: #1 La Marcella a sandwich with mortadella, pistachio cream, arugula, straciatella + chopped pistachios & a side order of Cucumber Salad [] My sandwich was insanely good with a nice little snap of the chewy bread. The balance on the scale from 1 to 10, impeccable! Between the thin-cut lightly-salty mortadella, the creaminess of the pistachio cream, & the surprise crunches of chopped pistachios, my palette was tantalized by every bite MUST TRY! The side of Cucumber Salad was the perfect order of freshness to pair with my sandwich. Crunchy cubes of cucumber with strings of red onion & milk feta. Perfect flavor combo. Only complaint is whisk there was more feta or smaller pieces of feta to last the whole serving. Delicioso none the less Thank you for making a killer sandwich & for hosting my dining experience. Cheers to much success in 2024

Petaluma has a legit Italian deli marketplace that could so easily be transplanted into any town in Italy and continue ...without missing a beat...we are very lucky! The salads and sandwiches are divine.

This is an authentic Italian deli with a small seating area, and very crowded at 1pm.. Absolutely five star sandwiches. We tried the #7 & #8 with cucumber salad and potato salad. Everything is wrapped to take out if you can't find a seat. Table service has prosecco, 2 red & 2 white wines and more. They have a very small dessert menu but again five stars so so good. I just wish this place was bigger. 5* for cleanliness too They're going to do so well I bet they move to a larger space when this lease is up.
