The decor is sort of sparton, or should I say Viking...

Staff was very friendly. Place is clean.

I just went there for Kalles
It is about the only place in NorCal that has/had it.

Parking is manageable, least you don't have to pay for parking like in S. F.

I'm always getting the frankfurter over mashed potatoes. It's cozy easy food. My SO gets the fried chicken. The space is bright and noise carries easily here. Service has always been pleasant. Order at the counter they bring the food. Beer and wine on the menu. I tend to eat here less often in winter when I'm seeking a more cozy atmosphere. They're my go to when I can't decide on something else.

Irrelevant side note - Still very sad that Cafe Zazzle closed.

Our daughter’s Swedish meatballs were terrific, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her onion soup. I joined them later and ordered a bratwurst, which was chewy, dry, and way overcooked. Not sure how that happened. Service was efficient, if a little perfunctory, and definitely not personable. Stark, almost cold interior, but maybe better at night.

Parking: Avoid the Petaluma Market lot. They seem to be a little touchy about interlopers.

Coffee was meh. Eggplant babaganoush was tasty. Order at counter then food delivered to your table.

Update! Went back and had great food again. The shrimp dish was quite small so recommend ordering it with something else. My chair broke while I was sitting in it which was a scary but not injurious. We recommend the sweet potato fries, broccolini pita, stone fruit salad.

Stockhome is a lovely restaurant in downtown Petaluma. My husband and I were not super hungry and stopped by for a small bite. We ordered the fried halloumi and the Swedish meatballs. Both tasted great and were beautifully plated but I felt like the prices were just a bit too steep for the portions. We also picked up some traditional Swedish candy on our way out. They were fun but not super unique.

I had the classic Swedish Meatballs. I got the child size and added the lingonberry sauce. Scrumptious and just the right size for a quick lunch.

Hands down just some grade A cuisine. We were served everything so quickly. Meatballs are amazing and the crab cakes were to die for. Will come back again!

I've tried this place multiple times and still for the life of me do not understand the Bib Gourmand rating.
