Honestly, all the doughnuts in Petaluma are fantastic but Sunrise has a certain old school taste I can't put my finger on. They remind me of the doughnuts I got when I was a kid all over SF.
Atmosphere is simple but the touches of the owners cultural heritage help it feel cozy and cute 🥰. Overall quality is fantastic, but I this place makes my favorite apple fritters.
I am usually an old fashioned or cake donut lover, so I usually don’t go for the fritters especially because past experiences I’ve where they are dry or don’t have much apple.

This is the best place ever. I’ve been coming here since I was 10. I’m 22 now. The people that work here are the sweetest, most hospitable people. The donuts are absolutely delicious and are the reason I cheat on diets so much. The bagels and croissants are so good as well. If you’re in Petaluma and you want a delightful morning snack/outing definitely go to Sunrise. It’s the best.
