I love this spot, each time I go it is consistently delicious. It is evident that a lot of intention and care goes into the menu, quality, and service. A+ in my book, and I rarely am down to pay $15+ for a sando. Some may find that pricey but THESE ARE GOURMET STATUS AND VERY MUCH WORTH IT.Pictured top to bottom: Bahn Mi (inspired) and the Point Reyes.Tbh this is my second review because I just appreciate this spot and want to see it succeed and stay open. Also the owner is very kind and courteous and deserves it.If I get a membership at the gym it is located within, it will be in part due to The Local :)

The Local truly is “the local” best Petaluma sandwich spot ever. I am obsessed with their Petaluma Sandwich — I add bacon & it truly is perfection. Well worth $17! It is so simple, yet so perfect. Life’s biggest pleasures truly are the most simple. I know people rave about Lombardi’s and Sourdough Co, but this place leaves them in the dust. I highly recommend this to anyone. Happiness in a sandwich :)Thank you for the beautiful sandwich creations!

My wife and I had lunch at the local and it was really really good. I had the Old Adobe and she had the Petaluma, both sandwiches were delicious and really big. Very fresh ingredients, and they source everything from local farms, which you never see with other sandwich shops. We well be back for sure!

The best tasting and freshest sandwiches I have ever ate! The combination of sauces, veggies and meats are crafted so well. I go here once a week and try a different sandwich each time and am surprised each time by how excellent they are. You can tell each sandwich is precisely wrapped with care as well.
We feel fortunate to have The Local in our gym and in Petaluma! Magical smoothies that are filling, delicious and healthy. Creative sandwiches with all of your favorite local ingredients that you could never make at home! A ton of options to try from hot, cold, vegetarian, wraps etc. that I've never ordered the same thing twice! But the best part is the personal care that put into every interaction. My kids love "The smoothie guy" because he is happy to see them and makes them yummy berry smoothies and "pink hummus" but mom loves it because they drink up every sip of their healthy smoothies. They go above and beyond splitting a smoothie for them in two cups, making them a custom sandwich and cutting their straws so that they aren't too long for toddlers to handle. I could go on and on but this tired mom truly appreciates the joy and love that everyone at The Local puts into their work. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of great things for them! See you all later when these kiddos inevitably demand a smoothie after kids club!

PETALUMA'S BEST KEPT SECRET!! The bites at this spot, located in the Active Fitness Center pack and explosion of flavor! Serving salads, sandwiches, smoothies and fresh-pressed juice. The high quality ingredients go in and out of season. The combinations in the sandwiches are nothing you'll get anywhere else! Everything I've had is awesome but my first fell in love with the (vegetarian) Kimchi Bahn Mi and my current addiction is the "Old Adobe"; turkey and Havarti, accented with pickled radishes, pickled onions, thinly sliced jalapenos and a roasted shallot vinaigrette. Just enough of each item in every bit, without over-doing it. mmmmmmmmThe staff is super friendly and make you items fresh to order. The Local in is in the lobby of the Active Fitness Club with a half dozen tables for 2 and a few larger tables out on the patio near the pool. Give it a try, you won't regret it!!!
