Great food, excellent service , it was a bit noisy but probably because of loud customers next to us
We came to the Shuckery for my girlfriend's birthday, and Hannah was an amazing waitress, incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable about the items that would be gluten intolerant safe, and when she didn't know, she went and found out and made sure that we were taken care of! We will be back again soon because of the experience and the quality of the food.
Nice atmosphere, good food and drinks. Staff was pleasant but our server seemed overwhelmed. She forgot a couple of things I requested and we seldom saw her during our meal. The other staff dropped off our food, bussed our table and took our dessert order. Still, great experience and the staff works really hard, that much is evident. I'll be back next time I'm in town.
Really enjoyed the oysters! Had a variety of fresh oysters from around the region, also baked and fried, they were all amazing and the salad was delicious! Service was great, cocktails fabulous, and historic Petaluma Hotel is a beautiful location. We will be back soon!
The Shuckery is one of my favorite places to eat, talk and enjoy the atmosphere. Our waiter Mac was awesome and everyone else that works there was helpful and thoughtful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful restaurant with fantastic fresh seafood! Tried the seafood tower, which was amazing. Divine cocktails, nice wine selection too!
We finally visited The Shuckery and were warmly greeted by the bubbly host. Arriving 20 minutes early, we were seated promptly. Our cocktails were delightful, and the local bread basket with its olive oil dip was a standout. The fresh oysters and citrusy Caesar salad impressed us, as did the generous ahi poke bowl. While the braised short ribs were flavorful, they lacked the expected tenderness. A request for hot sauce led to a pleasantly fiery surprise, appreciated by both of us. The ambiance was lovely, but service felt slightly inconsistent. Our server tended to neighboring tables more frequently, leaving us waiting to order additional drinks and food. The food runners were more attentive, and we ended up interacting with them more than our actual server. Despite this, they ensured we had what we needed. We concluded our evening with drinks by the hotel lobby fireplace, a perfect end to a rainy night. We're eager to return and explore more seafood offerings, especially the tinned fish and catch of the day.
The service was great. We went during happy hour and had a great food and oysters were amazing.
We LOVE the Shuckery and go at least once a month. The Film Noir cocktail is the best. We had the short ribs dinner last night that we were not thrilled with but the salads are always very good. I think its best just to stick to fish dishes.
Jaz is an incredible owner - from shucking oysters to bringing over samples of wine to taste. She’s friendly and kind!
We had a lovely meal and the oysters were excellent! $2 each for happy hour!
Ceviche was delicious as well.
A must visit in downtown Petaluma!

Staff was friendly and great at recommending wine and food. The oyster varietals and clam/mussel entree were amazing.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary here. It was the last day of a 12-day road trip and though we were tired, we were hungry ?, and made our way to the hotel lobby and stumbled upon this treasure. The place greets you like a warm hug, welcoming and unpretentious. We started with ice-cold oysters and made our way through the catch of the day (me), short ribs on polenta (him), shared a crisp Caesar with briny anchovies, and finished with a goat cheese cheesecake that was light yet creamy. Every dish was delicious. The service—from the manager, to our server (go, Natalie!) to the support staff—was friendly, on-point, and made our experience something special. What a great way to end our vacation and begin our 36th year of marriage. Thank you to the Shuckery! We’ll be back. ❤️

Came in last night near closing but was still greeted warmly. My server, Riley, was also friendly, fast to the table for an order, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive. Food and wine were great. I had just finished an event in the area and even though it was almost closing I never felt rushed but just the opposite, fully accommodated. Will be back.

Great seafood including old favorites and creative new "spins." Loved the octopus and the fresh oysters. Attentive service without being intrusive. One of my Petaluma faves.
