The pozole is not what we expected. It was to much tomato paste and the chicken was not tasty. I also expected abundant hominy (the main ingredient of pozole). The server was great when I asked for more reddish and lime to fix the taste a bit.

It's definitely not my typical Mexican restaurant. But since I had a gift card I went here and used it. I got the birria of plate, fundido with chorizo, strawberry margarita, pina colada and the tamales plate. My daughter described it tamales plate is something different, she said the monster was a consistency of dessert like cheesecake. So she wasn't a fan of the masa, she only ate the chicken which was not placed inside the tamale but rather on top of the Masa. She did state it had good flavor. And I expected the video to be more juicy because from my understanding I believed birria was a saucy beef that's marinated. But nonetheless, everything tasted good. The salsa isn't spicy so I needed something a little bit more flavorful and spicy I believe the food is definitely catered to appeal to the majority of the people that patronize the place and live in the city. I'm just used to more flavorful Mexican restaurants. I would definitely drop back in for some dessert, drinks or appetizers. The drinks were perfect. I believe the tortillas are made in house.

My first time here was for an event and I had remembered how fresh & flavorful the food is. My son and I came in for lunch today before a movie and enjoyed a perfect meal. The chips (housemade) and fresh salsa were delicious. I had an ice cold Corona which was so refreshing on a hot day like today. I had the avocado tacos - delicious although would have liked a bit more avocado. My son liked his steak tacos very much as well as the limeade. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the decor colorful. Even the dog bowl they keep out is Mexican pottery!

Pleasant environment. Nice waitstaff. Slow service. Food was just ok. Sister enjoyed the salad. I had the vegetarian burrito. It was huge but just ok. I added the guacamole to the burrito which made it good. My other Sister was disappointed with the vegetarian tamale and ate just a little of it though she was very hungry. Homemade tortillas. !

I ordered my favorite (2 tacos - asada, with side of guacamole) via DoorDash. This time though the tiny container (slightly larger than salsa container) was only half full of guacamole and the rest had pico de gallo! $6.50 for that...never again

I've eaten in, and had togo. It's the only place I've eaten where I feel nourished and full without getting bloated . I've had the shrimp tacos, tamales with blue masa, carnitas burrito, and many more dishes. The quality is amazing, the flavor profiles are spot on, the price is reasonable, and the service is great. Of all the amazing restaurants Petaluma has to offer this one is my most frequented. I wouldn't change a thing about any meal I've had here! Thank you for choosing Petaluma for your brick and mortar.
