Water Street is absolutely one of our most favorite cafes in Petaluma. The food is SUPERB, the staff friendly and cool, the setting perfection. It is without question a go to when you want outstanding lattes, homemade soup, quiche, salad or French pastries. I always feel full of gratitude that we have such a divine spot within walking distance of home. I love our town! ❤

Absolutely my fav place in Petaluma. Wonderful salmon, crab chowder, quiche, salads, homemade pastries and desserts, I have eaten here for 20 years and have tried almost everything. It never failed to please. A little touch of a french bistro.

Food was reasonably good for $, but short of superb. Waffles take forever to make, so if there's a line be prepared to wait. Staff was friendly enough, we ate everything.

The folks at Water st. Bistro are absolute treasures. They never miss an opportunity to quietly and graciously feed the less fortunate and residentially challenged. Bless these living saints!

On a day trip to Petaluma my husband and I came across this restaurant while looking for the pedestrian bridge. We stopped for lunch. It was wonderful. We each had quiche - one swiss cheese and bacon, one chorizo and mozzarella - which came with a large side salad. Both were excellent. While we initially resisted, in the end we caved in and had dessert - an incredibly smooth and rich chocolate tart. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu items.
This darling French Cafe is always spot on - delicious food and wine, great service, fun vibe. I usually get the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup - served with bread and side salad. You can't beat the quality and the price is so affordable. I'm having one of their pastries for breakfast right now! The best!

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat! The homemade goodness is hard to find. This is a fabulous spot on a rainy day as you can sit at the counter and have a great view of the Petaluma River. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Dont miss this Gem.

The water street bistro is a must. With a list of outstanding lunch specials that change every day. excellent pastries in the morning and a monthly wine-paired 4-course dinner that is the best in the County. (dinner reservations are a must)The last 2 times I ate at Alice Waters restaurant I found myself homesick, water sheet bistro was far better.Chef Stephanie Rathsteder offers food at an amazing price. She does this so anyone with a passion for food doesn't have to go broke to get a fix. She Is an invaluable asset to our community overall. I just wish I took advantage more often. Thank you to Stephanie and the crew.STEADY KILLING IT!!!!!!!
