Overall an excellent experience from the moment we got out of our car till we got back in our car.

Food is always fantastic, and service is great. The wait staff is friendly and always there to take care of your needs. Old school charming vibe, a must try if you are an Angeleno.

It has been one of the best restaurants in SoCal for many years, and the tradition continues. Lunch or dinner is always a fine dining experience.

There is a lot to be said about a real professional restaurant. Service was impeccable (they have a real maitre 'd).The food rivaled the service for excellence. The Steaks melt in your mouth, and the sauces are well executed. They don't rush you and know how to pace a meal. A great southern california institution of eating. It's worth the price, about as good as it gets!

Old times restaurant serving classic dishes.

I have know Kevin and Lorin since 1988.
The restaurant is kin to old Hollywood steak house vibes. I learned of this restaurant when I was barely 19 yrs.old. I was given a New Years gift certificate from My friends Lois and Ben , and Brad.After my first taste of the Filets au piove,I was hooked for life! The old school racing vibe was unbeatable. I spent every holiday ,or celebration with my friends and family from then on. When I was pregnant with my first child , Kevin and Lorin packed an entire full restaurant hospitality. It included steak , Lobster, the (famous)Del Raye pepersteak,whole Lobster, baked potato and all the fixens. Including the relish basket and world famous garlic toast.They even included real plates and silverware. They sent it to me in the hospital. Almost 4 decades later, my family attends this particular restaurant in the LA area to enjoy almost every family gathering. I have so many wonderful memories of singing in the bar with friends and family,including Kevin Lori and Judy the hostess. This restaurant is not only phenomenal for parties and special occasions, but if you just want amazing food with the most wonderful people ,try the fried shrimp! The lobster Thermidor can't be beat . Also,must have chefs special spaghetti 😜 Excellent coffee

So I went in for my birthday dinner with my new fiancé. Food was great when we got dessert we ordered The tiramisu been sober for 12 years. It did not indicate that it had alcohol in. It felt so bad after I took a bite just for that probably won’t be going back to this place.

We had a lovely dinner. Food was delicious. Service is great. It was just an overall great experience. We are definitely returning.

The food is great as is the service. You can't go wrong coming here. It's really got a lot of that old world Noir charm. If I saw a guy wearing a suit with a fedora he would not be out of place. Christmas time is also a great time to visit. They have very nice decorations and it's homey. Make sure to get a dirty martin!i at the bar. Excellent

Such a great dinner! Food was excellent, and the wine was even better! Went there for a graduation dinner with my nephew and the rest of our family and had such a great time.
This place is old school in the best possible way. Classic dishes on the menuwith really great steaks. Definitely get oysters on the half shell and the tableside Caesar salad.

Great food service!!! Food was excellent. Ordered the extra large cut of prime rib with all the sides. The only negative was the hostess staff because all 3 women had attitudes. It appeared they thought they were all Gods gift to man....they were not!!!

My experience at the restaurant was mixed. As I walked in, the hostess was rude and dismissive — it felt as though she was doing me a favor by simply acknowledging me. I had an issue with the table we were originally given and asked to be moved. Thankfully, once we were reseated, our experience took a turn for the better. Our waitress, Sonia, was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and truly made our night special. Her professionalism and warm attitude completely turned the experience around.

Our server last night, Jessica, was very attentive to our needs. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu. She explained the specials and even suggested an entree for one of our guests. It was an enjoyable evening

Came here with my teens. We sat on the bar side with the live music. We had a lot of fun listening and singing along. The service was amazing, everyone was very attentive. Our cupeth runeth over. We ordered the Caesar salad, steak, pesto ravioli, penne in vodka sauce, and liver. Everything was amazing and the meat was tender and cooked to our liking. The girls enjoyed their pasta dishes. I think my only complaint is that the penne dish could've used a little more sauce. Our whole experience was great. We would definitely eat here again when we come back to LA.
