Dal Rae is an old established Restaurant in Pico Rivera.Leather Booths , live music in the Bar and a valet parking lot .Reservations are a must .Its famous for Steak with Pepper Sauce,Lobster Thermidor and oyster Rockefellor. The Souffles are a must .We had the tableside Caesar , several of us had Steaks , The scallops were also good. The service is normally great , unfortunately it was a bit patchy .All 8 of us had good time although having a conversation was difficult.

Everything is a great food service atmosphere, but pricing here seems to be more like a customer selection, but if you can afford it, no restraining, it's your place, enjoy great seafood and perfect meats

Wow, the steak was so delicious and the salad was so fresh... When you go in, you'll be surprised by how many people there are... It's lunch time... There will be more for dinner...

Sadly, the filet steak was undercooked, which resulted in a night of food poisoning. The quality when presented looked great, but the after experience changes things.Came for a party on a Saturday night and the restaurant itself was extremely busy and very noisy. With the band in the other room and the room jammed packed for many guests. Safe to say, it was not a calm atmosphere. The service was great and they would constantly check on our tables and ask us if we needed anything, but the wait for the food was quite long and the salad included with the course meal was not given. I loved this restaurant, but my opinion has changed. Make sure your steak is cooked well so you don’t have an experience like me.

I wanted to share my recent experience at this fantastic restaurant. The ambiance was old-school sophisticated, and it felt like we were transported to a different era by the Bossanova songs playing in the background. The chill rhythm of the music made me feel like we were living in an episode of Mad Men, and I secretly hoped that the boy from Ipanema would show up at the table next to ours. What helped make it a truly memorable experience was the Monterey Chicken. I'd had it before but couldn't find it on the menu. Our server was confident the Chef would make it for me, and she was right.A chicken breast pounded thin with the lightest breading cooked to perfection. The light golden chicken filled the plate, supporting a hollandaise sauce that blanketed avocado and tomato wedges. Each bite of the chicken alone was a delight, with the slightly rough texture and buttery taste delighting my tongue. Alternating with bites that included the creamy, perfectly ripe avocado and then the crisp freshness of the tomato made sure my mouth didn't get bored.I wish I'd remembered to take a photo first because the eyes are the first step to enjoying a meal. And in this case, I pushed all other thoughts out of my head, leaving only that desire for the first bite...and then another and another. When you are looking for something lighter than beef, you won't be disappointed by this one.At some point, I will extend this review or add another if Google allows that. In the meantime, let me know what your fav dish is at Dal Rae.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Would not come back (food was too salty! for the price, I would prefer all my dishes to be edible; see comments below). Service was amazing though!!AMBIANCE: Semi-Upscale but casual. Noise level is average. There are a few seating areas (covered patio: a bit cold/drafty, more lighting in this area; main dining: dimmer light, closer to the live music; bar area). We were seated in the covered patio and there was a draft and it felt a bit cold.DRESS CODE: Smart CasualORDERED:[ appetizers ]- escargot: way too salty! came with some toast. we ended up leaving some as it was really salty.- ahi tuna tartare: this was good and ahi tuna tasted fresh- lobster bisque: was nice and creamy- french onion soup: hit the spot! onions were sweet and tasty. a bit salty, but manageable- caesar salad: TOO SALTY. it was difficult to finish... too much dressing and parmesan cheese! I think if there was more of a balance, it would have been tastier. didn't know you can mess up a caesar salad this bad... please note that its not a "spinning salad bowl" for the table, it's per plate/person. So if your entire table doesn't want a caesar salad, the option is available to order per person.[ main course ]- filet mignon with lobster tail- poor man's pepper steak- veal piccata, zucchini dore- prime rib of beef (10 oz)- baked potato- garlic mashoverall, all the main courses were cooked as requested and filling![ dessert ]we brought our own cake since we were celebrating a birthday. Please note that they will charge a corkage fee of $35 per wine bottle, and cake slicing fee of $2.75pp (price as of 4/05/2024)SERVICE: Service was amazing! Our server was Olivia and she was very friendly and attentive!PRICE: ~ $60+PARKING: They have valet and self-parking, both which are $6. I opted for self-parking bc I'm particular about who touches my car. But I love that I had the option. stars stars
