Shakey's Pizza Parlor

The salad bar was absolutely disgusting. There were so many fruit flies on ALL the salad ingredients. Employees simply swatted them away when they were getting employee meals. "On break, not my problem". After notifying the bar tender, she let the manager know who seemed to be upset that I said something. He wouldn't talk to me though. After sitting for another 20 mins and seeing nothing being done I left. I talked to the manager in passing about the issue and he just dismissed me. I didn't ask for a refund or anything. But the way he treated me was terrible. Just trying to look out for food quality and everyone consuming their food. Please reach out to management and have them realize the safety of their food. This is disgusting!!!

I'm going to start this review by asking whoever is reverting this place from temporarily closed to open to please stop. I've passed this place multiple times and the windows are boarded up, but I'm giving the staff the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

That being said, my last time here was in mid 2023 when the Lakers played the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. Despite the seemingly lack of people here for dinner (it was a weeknight), I couldn't have asked for anything more. Despite everything being good, it was only made better by the atmosphere. I do hope that this place reopens because the recent fire and its closing does leave a hole in the community.

Went to this Shakey's since the one on Passons and Washington in Pico Rivera burnt & it's been closed I was very disappointed! The pizza was cold, salad had three or four things, & desert was only jello! I w) not return
