Old school deli for take out only! Bring your olla for menudo, food made from scratch daily. Carne roja, bean and cheese or chille relleno burrito are a favorite! Hot tamales are always a hit!

I came here by accident. I still can't believe that such a simple burrito (tortilla, beans, chile relleno and sauce) could be that delicious. I ordered the chile relleno burrito with green sauce because the owner told me it was her favorite. My mouth is watering just remembering the taste.
While I was waiting for my order, a guy told me he came from Arizona for the burrito.

This place is a little gem for authentic homestyle Mexican food. A bit pricey for burritos, B n C is $6.50.

A one of a kind Mexican Burrito !
Been going there for about 50 years and the quality remains the same.
Been going here for years! Best burritos ever!
I always get the bean and cheese burrito with fries from here, doesn’t take too long and prices are decent.
Went to buy burritos today and the bean and cheese were very thin mostly tortilla and it was very disappointing. I guess they don't make bean and cheese like they used to sorry guys never again will I be returning.

Bean and cheese
I’ve been going to Vargas for over 50 years and it’s been there this long for a reason.
It’s delicious. Give yourself a treat and stop by and try it. I’m sure you’ll go back again and again. 🤙🏼😋
Very small amount of food in their burrito and highly priced. Not competitive with other neighboring Mexican restaurants. Not many customers and questionable freshness of their food.
Overpriced tamales $2.75 each, lots of sauce, very little meat, all masa...
One of the best places I recommend
