We've been here 5 or 6 times over the years. The food has always been really good and they make great drinks.
Last time I visited I ordered the Caribbean Punch. It's not your typical sweet rum drink, it's a bit more savory, made with rum, fruit juice and I believe nutmeg. I highly recommend it!
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the service can be pretty terrible. The wait staff is always nice, but extremely inattentive.

Our server Daniel was AMAZING. He knew the menu well and explained all the details of the brunch happy hour, which was SO good!! I got the bistro burger, and that was perfect. What a great experience. I really feel like the service made a great impact with our server, Daniel. Thank you for a great brunch after a long morning of peewee football. We will be back.

Met up with my Westlake Jr. High School Crew for lunch. I've know them since 1976. We get together every so often each yr. This was my 1st visit to Pear Tree....it was pretty good! Got the Bistro Bacon Cheeseburger with a fruit cup side. It was cantaloupe and it was soooo GOOD! Sweet/juicy cantaloupe has been very hard to find. Burger was kool but needed some seasoning. We had a good time and as ALWAYS it was great to see my Peeps! ? I even got the ravioli to go.
Parking: I didn't see the parking lot behind the restaurant until we left...I had parked on the street.

Barbara is a great bartender. Her drinks are good and she made sure my sisters food was made right when it wasn't.
Excellent food. The idea of taking traditional dishes from different cuisines and making them unique and even more tasty is super fun and refreshing. And the house cocktails are good too! We'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere is upscale sports bar, which I guess might be a thing in Pinole. I think the concept is a great idea. The food was upscale Italian. The service not so upscale.
I ordered the cioppino, which was pretty good. Great value for $30, it came loaded with seafood. I'm pretty sure the fish was salmon and it was super fresh and tender. The shrimp was slightly over-done and I did sense a tiny bit of sand from the muscles or clams. There's no crab in this cioppino, as the menu says, and that's actually my preference. My only complaints are that the clams which were sticking out were slightly cold, and there was very little broth for the size of dish.
The service was mediocre because I sat in the corner and my waiter did not go out of way very often to see if I needed anything. And for a sports bar, I would thing if one says "just water please" that you get one of those big beer glasses filled with ice - not the tiny little Italian whiskey glass with water.
I would go back there to try a few other salmon dishes.
