Food is good. Just food came out a bit slow.l in my opinion. There was a nice old man and woman operating the restaurant. I am assuming they are a married. I’ll definitely be returning.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the welcoming service. The staff was friendly and made us feel at home, offering great recommendations. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, with each bite bursting with flavor. I especially loved the signature rolls and sashimi. The ambiance was serene and cozy, with a minimalist design and soft lighting that created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed meal. It’s the ideal spot for a special night out or a casual sushi craving. Will definitely return!

Disgusting! I really don’t like writing negative reviews that may hurt a business but when that business shows such disregard for their trusting, paying customers, a line is crossed.
We went for dinner on a busy Friday night and noticed the chef coming back from a fridge freezer with some of the ‘fresh’ fish.
On leaving later on, we noticed these refrigerators and when I say they were bad, it was a shocker just how disgustingly filthy they were. Considering these are on public view - right inside the door of the restaurant - and that the chefs must go to it several times a day touching the filthy handles with their bare hands before returning to prepare sushi (but yet somehow haven’t managed to notice the disgusting stains and greasy dirt) made me wonder just how bad the part of the restaurant that’s not in public view is.

I'm home on winter break from school and needed some sushi! I chose Tachikawa because it's right down the street from where I was living.
It was delicious. I had the 49er roll, the cherry blossom roll, and a few other happy hour rolls which we're all great. There wasn't a long wait for the food and the waitress was also very pleasant and attentive as well. I highly recommend!

Tachikawa has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The service was prompt and cordial. The food is very good and served more in a "Home-Style" vs a more extravagant style you will find a some sushi/Japanese restaurants. The fish was fresh and we enjoyed the sushi presentation very much! The Tonkatsu was crispy and plentiful. These are my two gauges for any Japanese restaurant. If the fish is fresh and the Tonkatsu is not tough and the breading stays on the meat, I will come back!

I always meet my college buddy. It's convenient for me since it's off the freeway and it's close to where he lives. It's not the best but it's clean and the food is well priced.
