I love La Cocina. I get asked about a restaurant next to my job that I would not recommend. I'll drive to La Cocina instead of walking 20ft. La Cocina has so many options. You can eat clean or go authentic. Either way you will not be disappointed unless you just hate life and everything just sucks. Eat here to be a happy human.

I came here because I was anxious to have a Poké bowl. When I got there and found out that they were replaced by this Taqueria was such a disappointment. But we were hungry and we decided to give it a try. Oh my goodness, the worst Mexican I’ve had since Florida. They have their nerve calling this Mexican not even the pico de gallo was Mexican and if it starts off bad with the sauce… You’re not going have a good experience. I typically don’t like to write negative reviews but everything about this place was bad and just not Mexican! Shame, shame, shame… Let’s see how long they last.
Quesabirrira taco $4.99 no meat hardly and cheese and soggy! Oh and no broth comes with it!????? The elite cup is canned corn dumped into a cup with mayo and takin with Parmesan HORRID!!! Wasn’t even warm! ??♀️

One of the worst Mexican food ever; presentation terrible, no taste and just dry. I still don’t understand how people can give good reviews! Just nasty food is the best I can describe it, two bites and all the burritos and nachos ended up in the garbage can.

Finally a great Mexican restaurant in Pinole! Really delicious food and generous portions cooked fresh.They have a vast menu and you can ask for variations too. They have Ala carte items, Plates, which includes the main dish, choice of beans, rice and a side lettuce, tomatoe and guacamole salad with a nice dollop of sour cream as well. 4 corn tortillas come with a Plate item as well. And there's so many other dishes to choose from I don't think you'll have any problem finding something you like, your problem will be what to choose!Everything we've tried was delicious. For myself Chili Verde is my favorite and theirs is the absolute best I've had in many years. Their crispy chicken tacos are great too. Not greasy with chunks of grilled chicken and great flavor.They have vegetarian dishes too our family member loved. Chili Relleno was great as well. So many choices. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating people will help you from the minute you walk in the door. Take a look at their menu and go get some excellent Mexican food. You'll be glad you did.We have dined in and gotten take out.It's not a really big restaurant but they have a fair amout of seating.Also it's very clean.There's free freshly made tortilla chips with several salsa dips and bags for to go as well. They have drinks and I think I saw cheesecake and some other Mexican desserts as well.We mostly get take out but have dined in twice and it was great. They use the really good recyclable to go containers as well.Can't recommend enough. Enjoy!!
Vegetarian options: There are several specifically designated vegetarian dishes but you could ask for many other dishes to be made with only vegetarian ingredients and if they're able to they probably will do whatever you ask. They are really friendly and accommodating.
Dietary restrictions: There's vegetarian dishes and you can ask for any other requirements and I'm sure they'll make it if they can.

One of the best taquerias in the area. The food is great, we had the burritos and quesadilla. All great. Prices weren’t crazy, they have a salsa bar. Lots of drink options! I actually had a boba tea with my burrito, and i was so happy we decided to try it! Will definitely come back on the regular!
