Horrific!!! As I was eating pancakes I felt a painful poke in my gums! I pulled a wire out! The treatment from waitress made me tear up. No apology until I told her she needed to. She said it wasn't her fault. I realized she's not the Cook! But she represents this establishment! The Cooks were visibly mortified and came apologize, and offered me whatever my husband and I wanted. In pain and afraid.that more wire would be in the food, we gracefully declined. The waitress preceded to bring a receipt, which we did not PAY! SHE DID NOT CARE NOR UNDERSTAND THE MAGNITUDE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE! The state of California band BBQ Wired brushes for this very reason. The manager had not called me nor return my call.

Want to know what the food was like 60 years ago? The Embers keeps tradition alive with outstanding Hickey Pit style BBQ. Takes me back to the days before LSD, long hair and psychedelic music., when surfers were renegades, teenagers raced on the Great Highway and rock and rock was recorded on 2 tracks. Long Live the Embers.

I stopped by Embers on 600 San Pablo for breakfast and tried their veggie omelet. The portion was generous, and the vegetables tasted fresh and well-cooked, not soggy like in some other places. The omelet was fluffy and had a nice balance of flavors — nothing overpowering, just a good classic veggie mix. It came with toast and hash browns, which were both crispy and satisfying. The service was friendly and fast, and the cozy diner vibe made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a solid spot for a hearty breakfast!

Service was terrible. They brought two dishes for two of us and then 10 minutes later brought our other two dishes. All we had was BLTs so I don't know why it took them 10 extra minutes to make blts. Then when we got them they weren't very good. They used iceberg lettuce. Never had a BLT with iceberg lettuce before. My daughter ordered hers with some fruit instead of potato salad or french fries and then they charged her $2 more for it without telling her. It was just a little bit of cantaloupe. All in all, not a great lunch. 😔
I ordered the corn beef hash and this is how it arrived. Not only skimping but lazy. Horrible service.

Half of our table received their food a good 5+ minutes before we received ours. And we had only ordered BLT’s. I ordered with a side of fruit and my mom ordered potato salad. For some reason I was charged an extra $2 for cantaloupe, why would I pay more for fruit that the included fries/potatoes? Never told me it would be an additional charge. I was surprised to see iceberg lettuce on the BLT which they didn’t even bother to cut properly so nothing even stayed inside the sandwich. My friends really didn’t enjoy their food either.

Stopped for breakfast on Weds, 2/9 after taking cat to the vet. I had the pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage breakfast and the food was excellent, especially the sausages, but everything was very flavorful! My Aunt had the waffles breakfast and also loved her food as well. We will be going back when in Pinole and we both definitely recommend!
