This is a good steak house to take the family to. It has very good steaks, burgers, and other meats. But it isn't so fancy that I worry about the kids acting up a bit. As an added bonus they have good old fashioned milk shakes. One suggestion is that I normally order an extra side or two, especially if I'm ordering one of the grilled meats.

I got the french dip. My friend got the fish and chips. Everything was really food. The service was really food. It was a laid back, family type atmosphere.

Local mom and pop. The grill master is fantastic. I come here for breakfast. Steak and eggs and omelets are always good. Big fluffy pancakes. Attentive staff and always coming around with more coffee.. see you soon!

I've been there three times. It has been a very mixed bag. I had chicken fried steak and eggs yesterday. It was one of the worst I have ever had. The steak was obviously frozen and deep-fried until it was hard as rock. The country gravy was thin and tasteless.

Great service at this restaurant, being going here since I was a kid, the only thing I would say is their salads use to be better, but still great food. Love the open face turkey.Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant

I would like to say good stuff about this locale, and was looking forward to trying out various dishes with friends. We arrived at 7:35p. Google says they close at 9. The staff let us know the sign on the door said 8, and asked if we were interested in take out. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to revisit when they are open and willing to serve customers so I can update this review.

I was taking my old pal Hairlip Louie to Pinole so he could get a new Belson G-Ledder before the end of the current lunar cycle...don't ask why, and when the Hairlip spotted The Embers BBQ Joint he said "wets gwo eat wear" and that was it we couldn't go any further without eating. The Lip's been here before but this was my first time, and I'll tell you the Embers puts out some great BBQ!
