I grew up in Omaha. I have a point. That is where the Ruben Sandwich was born. I moved away over 40 years ago and I have had mixed results finding a good Ruben Sandwich until I ordered one at the Red Onion. It was perfect. We will be going here more and more. Great food and friendly service.

Red onion is the real deal home town spot. Now they originally known for the burgers but everything else on the expanded menu is fire.If you’re lucky enough to get a bag of fries when Johnny is on the fryer you won’t ever want other fries again

Food was yummy per the usual. Fresh ingredients and same great taste. I got a bacon Cheeseburger with a large fries. Fries were big enough for 3 people. When I'm in the area I'll return for another delicious burger.

Haven't been able to get over this way in quite some time so we were very excited today to figure that we were going to get lunch at one of our favorite restaurants. We have a puppy these days so I went in to make sure it would be okay for us to sit out side with the dog. Walked in to find three people doing absolutely nothing except staring at the cash register where I was waiting to ask my question. Took them over 5 minutes to acknowledge me and then when I asked about sitting outside with the puppy the response I got was "well, hey're working on the sidewalk." I pointed out the work on the sidewalk was towards the street and their patio was behind the business. They said oh we're not serving people outside. We walked out and ordered nothing.You would think in a day and age where restaurants are struggling to survive, they would take better care of their long-term customers. We will not be back

Food has been solid here for the last 20+ years. I moved back to the area around 2013.. I almost feel like it's better lately. Their chili cheese whatever you need is the best. Their hash browns are also the best. You can have those chili cheese as well.

We stopped by for an impromptu weeknight dinner, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how many plant-based options they had on the menu! The food was greasy but that's pretty much what we expected so that was fine. There is a nice outdoor patio that I was sad not to use since it was a bit too cold outside.

This family style joint has been around for years and they are consistently good and friendly. I love that this family business employs young people and each interaction is positive. Friendly vibe, GF buns so I can have a REAL cheeseburger and my order is always as expected.I always get the classic potato so I can have it for dinner or lunch the next day. Very healthy portions.

They were awesome and good service. Good atmosphere, thing that blew my mind was the food that is cooked here. Absolutely amazing quality and not oily/greasy. Left me satisfied and wanting more. Hella items to choose from, and cooked 100% the way it should be. I appreciate a place like this to have amazing food and stayed true to that from 1963. Kudos to you. ?
