During the long drive back to Hollywood from Big Bear, my kids said they were hungry. We had passed nothing but rocks and sand for ages so I didn't think we'd have any options but luckily Casa Ortega popped up on the map. The restaurant was nearly empty and just one man seemed to be operating as waiter, bartender, and chef but our food was delivered promptly and everything was delicious. Fine if you are in the area, not worth a trip. Went there for my daughter's birthday yesterday, they had 1 waiter for the whole restaurant which wasn't so much of an issue due to it being pretty slow, and he was great, very friendly, he is the only reason this isn't lower than 3 stars. I tried to order guacamole, which he stated they didn't have any but they had avocados, so apparently they can't make fresh guacamole? The salsa was ok, the chips tasted...

Awesome folks, service is great & food is always on point! Here weekly, sometimes twice a week, my lady is the loud one! Enjoy (fried ice cream, a favorite with the kids) pitcher of margaritas are great too!
