Went in to see the place I grew up at (I live out of state now). Staff was very rude. Now I see why everyone was at Ham's station. They were Packed!

Nice place to stop and get refreshed on that long mountain trek. you gotta catch 'em when they're open, however.
Still, both sides of the highway have plenty of bright lighted parking space, far away from the road, so that one may rest awhile during late night travels.

We enjoyed three wonderful days at the Clay Station Campground. We were in spot 14 which fit our 30 ft trailer and truck perfectly. We had full hookups but were cautioned about not using multiple items at once, they are still working on supplying more electricity. This campground is a perfect home base as you explore the sierras. They have a wonderful restaurant that has breakfast and lunch items which we enjoyed daily. We can’t wait to come back again and stay in the spring . Thankyou for a great and safe time in your campground.
