Woman owned, vegetarian friendly, small town neighborly vibes. The food is as amazing as the staff/owners!
Typical old American experience. A meal back in history, with friendly staff. There is a wood stove in the middle of the place to keep us warm and two great dogs walking around. Open for breakfast and lunch, selling a few other commodities as well. We were biking through the region, and it is the oy option within miles. We also spent the night in the rustic camping ground right behind it (but owned by a different person).
Moved within the area and wanted to check out local restaurants and decided to treat the grandkids to a weekend breakfast adventure. Outside looked very cool and older. Inside the atmosphere matched the Outside with minor disparaging features. The menu was ridiculously long. WITHOUT exaggeration breakfast is like 15 pages long. If you come at brunch and are deciding between breakfast and lunch order your coffee and relax to compete your menu read. The waitres was not kid friendly and no we do not have misbehaved brats. The 1 grandson was excited and asking questions he 5 years old and the other one is 2 and we just ordered for him. The food that my wife and I ordered was food alright but when you factor in the cost and value; many of the items were not made but came right out of a can. Hash; can, Gravy; can, bicuits; mfg., so for $20 you are purchasing your eggs prepared and cooked and the rest is warmed out of the can or wrapper. Kids loved their pancakes and milk. The biggest takeaway was very mediocre food at top price, an irritated waitress, and a cool place to eat. Unless you are into history pass this up unless you need to buy some chips or bottled juice from the store section they have.
Went here with my family after some fun in the snow. Nice little place with enough room, we had a group of 5. One person working the kitchen and the bar. She was very nice and her cute dog. Food came out pretty fast and it was really good! Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy some good food. I believe the menu said 25 burgers. A lot to try out next time.
A terrific Oasis. Thank You
What a cute, quaint and yummy spot! I adored the atmosphere inside and fire burning fireplace inside. Located right off highway 89z Stopped here with my dad and sister on our way home from the snow, we were famished and the burger hit the SPOT. I ordered the burger w/fried egg & they both ordered the Monica (southwest) burger and we cleared our plates. Burger was juicy, flavorful and just all around good. It was a must to leave a review, and the 2 women whom were working were nice and friendly and it began to snow a bit as we were eating so it was all around vibe. Definitely will have to stop by again when in the area.
Great people, great food! Cool building.
Easy access, even with our RV!
Great place to rest up while visiting Amador County. Great food and full bar. Watch the snow fall or cool off from the heat.
A real lifesaver to have coffee on the drive to Kirkwood. Friendly and fast service. Killer breakfast for a big day. ❤️❤️❤️
Super nice owners.
