Food was good, just very expensive. Sadly it's not worth the price they charge. They used to have family style sides as a given, but now it's extra if you want it. Huge expense for pretty mid food. There's nothing wrong with it, but you can get better elsewhere for an equivalent or even cheaper price.
That said, I've never had bad service here, and it is fun to see them do the high pours on people. (Especially kids).

Fine dining, country atmosphere, friendly service, quality food with enormous portions, best cuts of meat… we ordered the Ponderosa steak for two and it was cooked perfectly, the largest steak I’ve ever seen and a dining experience for the books!!! We loved the garlic mashed potatoes. Enjoyed the “blind pouring” demonstration. Definitely worth the price ?

We stopped in for happy hour and it was incredible. Great menu items and drink specials. We had a half-rack of ribs, garlic fries, their lemon-drop mason jar special and a house wine for $5.00! Definitely coming back.

A little dated but definitely a place to try out.
The service was great. Unfortunately my top sirloin was more on the medium/medium well side, when I asked for medium rare. It was seasoned great. Their creamy horseradish is delicious! I would give this place another chance. Their service is great!

Ok, so right off I must say that my review might be a little biased, because we asked our waiter for the military discount, which they offer, since my spouse is a retired military veteran, and the waiter told us it was too late, since he’d already give us our check; however, we didn’t get a chance to ask him about the military discount because he never spoke to us prior to providing the check. We didn’t like that at all; it completely left a bad impression of the waiter and the restaurant, and quite frankly we might not ever go back. If you’re going to offer a military discount, then you shouldn’t deny patrons of it because you’re too lazy to re-run the check!
Food was very good. My husband and I split the steak & lobster, I got the lobster, and we both were satisfied. However, we also ordered the beans and bread, which is a tourist racket, and they were ok, but I wouldn’t recommend.
Service: beyond what I said above, the waiter or anyone else ever came by to refill our water glasses. There were 7 in our party and the waiter seemed focused on the single older female at the top of the table and forgot about the rest of us (2 women and 4 guys) sitting at the table.
Atmosphere: lots of history as restaurant has been around for a long time. Love the stuffed buffalo and mounted goat head in the front area; it’s good for photo opportunities.
Although they have a lot of parking, the lot was packed and we were lucky to find a spot.

Steak was excellent! Exceeded my expectations this last time. The servers entertained us with different stunts while blindfolded and still made sure that we had everything we needed. Very crowded, make sure to make reservations or arrive early.

First time there, while I was visiting family and while was I blown away. The people were really nice and the steak was delicious. But the décor was really awesome and made the whole atmosphere better.
They have a large banquet room if you ever want to have a party or reception there. And upstairs are a couple of pool tables and some tvs to relax.

I hate writing this about a beloved and family-favorite restaurant, but....
A $59 ribeye that only includes two slices of very-garlicky toast and a scoop of ice cream later, side items needing to be ordered separately (e.g., loaded baked potato for $14), a steak ordered med-well arriving at most med-rare (while heavy on the garlic salt, quite flavorful still), along with a $39 8 oz. sirloin and a beer coming to $146 w/tax (but not tip) dinner for two unfortunately equals little desire to return.
Onion rings greeting us as a table appetizer upon arrival was a nicely-intended touch (though we'd prefer simple bread/butter). Table service was mostly timely, as was our order's delivery, but no water refills til the end was a miss.
Unfortunately for us, whether it's a CA-forced reality or just a business decision, the overall experience coupled with the separately-charged items and high total price takes McKlintock's wonderfully oak-cooked steaks out of our future dining plans. Really sorry.

One of the best views in town. Big tasty portions. Themed to the max and little bit of performance magic.
