The establishment offered only pre-sorted assortments or single-flavor bags of no less than half a pound—far from the harmonious mix I sought. Desiring the freedom to craft my own selection, I sought another place where such choices were granted. For those untroubled by limited variety, this place may serve well, but for those who seek true balance in flavor, another path may be wiser.

Don’t bother buying taffy at the nearby candy establishments. Hot Licks not only has the best selection, but their prices are similar if not less than competitors in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see how affordable the various candies were. Needless to say, we walked out with taffy, rock candy, chocolate covered insects and more. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Most of the candy is fresh and the chocolate covered honeycomb is amazing. They have those beautifully decorated caramel apples, too. Be sure to get the rocky road confection.

I went in to buy just a couple of things for Christmas gifts. It was clean and quite there were two other people in there and others started coming in. Everyone but myself were offered a sample including the people already in there. Not sure as the reason why but you give everyone a sample except one person makes it seem like there was a reason behind it.
