My credit card was charged $53.80 after I already paid them cash to close out my pool tab. I didn’t even shoot pool for 1/2hr. I called management to resolve the issue and they said that it was just a hold on my card and wait until the payment is done processing. Fast forward to a couple of days later, and the charge on my card was still not reversed. Now I have to settle this issue my bank. Very unprofessional and will never come back to this place.
Guy with the hoop earrings was rude. Bad customer service not friendly at all.
Tyler was awesome going above and beyond & the food he cooked was delicious!
Jennifer, the manager was also very attentive. This is a great spot especially if you're looking for a great late meal!

Hidden gem. Seems like your average pool hall type of place from the outside. Cool T-shirt shop. Young crowd. For the most part it is. But then they have this amazing beer selection of sours, stouts, barley wines, strong ales, etc. on tap. legendary microbrew bottles and cans to go. The food is great too. Top notch bowling alley diner style grub. Patty melt is great. Regular stop on my yearly Pismo trip.

We had a great time at HotShots Billiards! It was a fun and relaxing way to bond with my three teen kids. The place is clean, including the restrooms, and has a welcoming atmosphere for families.
We really enjoyed playing pool together. Great tables and enough space to feel comfortable. Great spot whether the sun is up or down.
They also serve food, which was a nice bonus. I really enjoyed the calamari strips, crispy and tasty! The kids couldn’t get enough of the funnel cake strips. Plus, the soda machine is awesome great drink selection and super convenient.
Highly recommend for a fun outing, family bonding, or just a laid back game night!

My girlfriend is deaf. She accidentally got soda when she was supposed to get water. I paid almost $100 worth of food, and it was an issue because the fact that we did not spend the $2 extra for the food

So we were in this evening. We purchased food, drinks, and games and went to our table.
We noticed the manager, Danny, staring at us while we ate. This lasted about ten minutes before they finally walked over and said they had to ask us to throw out the leftovers we’d brought in with us. Mind you, we had them when we came in, while we ordered, while we found our seats (and were not eating them) but rules are rules and we complied.
After throwing out the food, which they watched like hawks to make sure we threw out… but okay, cool, done.
People in our party played a game and were in the second game of pool before Danny walked over to tell one of the women in our party with a child playing an arcade game, that they were going to “have to ask” us to leave because they felt “disrespected.”
Other than bringing in food from earlier in the day, which we did not eat but didn’t throw away because who can afford to throw away food in this economy, we did absolutely nothing to the manager or anyone else in the establishment. We came out for the day with all of our children to have a good time and had to explain to our children, all under 15, that we had no clue why we were being asked to leave. Ridiculous. -1/10.

Great place for Family to have lunch or dinner. Arcade area for the kids and plenty of pool table (9 ft. and 7 ft.). Great selection of Tap Beers. Just a short walk to the beach and pier. They also have 2 Air Hockey tables. Love this place!

Hot Shots: Pismo Beach’s Ultimate Billiards & Hangout Spot
Nestled in the heart of downtown Pismo Beach, Hot Shots isn’t just a pool hall—it’s a massive, multi-purpose playground housed inside an old theater, blending nostalgia, competition, and laid-back coastal vibes all under one roof. Whether you’re a pool shark, an arcade junkie, or just a tourist looking for a cool Pismo Beach keepsake, this place has something for everyone.
More Than Just a Pool Hall
Step inside, and you’re met with an impressively large space that caters to just about every kind of night out. It boasts several league-size and bar-size pool tables, all kept in top-notch condition and lit with professional-grade lighting. No dim, dingy corners here—this is the real deal for anyone serious about their game.
Beyond the felt-covered battlegrounds, Hot Shots is packed with arcade games, a dining area, a bar, and even a full-fledged t-shirt and merchandise shop right at the entrance. If you’re visiting from out of town and need a Pismo Beach souvenir, this is an easy stop to grab some memorabilia while soaking in the local scene.
A Must-Visit for Any Pismo Hangout
I haven’t eaten here in a long time, so I can’t speak much on the food. But back when I did, I had the fish and chips, and from what I remember, it was solid. That said, Hot Shots isn’t the kind of place you come to just for a meal—it’s a gathering spot, a break in your night out, a place to kill time with a drink in hand and a cue stick at the ready.
Every time I find myself hanging out in Pismo, there’s a high probability that at some point, I’ll end up at Hot Shots for at least one game of pool. It’s one of those places that’s just part of the experience, a guaranteed good time whether you’re aiming for a perfect break or just killing time between beachside strolls.
The Verdict? Rack ‘Em Up!
If you’re looking for a laid-back, fun, and classic Pismo Beach hangout, Hot Shots is the spot. Whether you’re sinking shots, hitting the arcade, or just grabbing a keepsake before heading home, this place delivers on atmosphere and entertainment.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Five stars, because Hot Shots is always a good call.
