We ordered the dynamite, california, spicy tuna, and texas roll. All of them were so good and fresh.

Great place overall but a few issues. Went on a Saturday evening, they were out of their beef dish. Service was good

Dropped in for our anniversary on the off chance of a table, and no problem - we were seated in ten minutes and had a wonderful meal. The sushi chef is clearly very good and knows his fish, every piece of the omakasi selection was spectacular. The rolls are great, excellent sake selection. We shall be back. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff too.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is top-notch, and everyone’s attitude is so positive and welcoming. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and friendly vibes. The staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. It’s not just about the food (which was delicious!)—it’s the people that make the experience so special.
The turbo steals the show. Unbelievably good. The other sashimi and rolls are yummy too. But I recommend springing for the turbo. It takes longer to get sashimi out. They had one dedicated sashimi chef with a long list of orders ahead of us. The staff is friendly.
The sushi and rolls were very good. They have a large selection. The serving sizes were large. Our service was excellent. The restaurant was large inside with many tables and many seats at a large sushi bar. Overall our meal was very relaxing with excellent service and very good food.
I have never liked sushi until I ate the sushi there at Kanpai. Delicious and fresh. HIghly recommend
Crispy rice with spicy tuna is not to be missed!
Got seated quickly at the sushi bar at 5:40 on a Wednesday. Quick service and delicious.

Had a horrible experience here, let me tell the story. We had a reservation for my girlfriend and I’s anniversary for 7:30. We show up at 7:20, expecting to wait a little until our table is ready. 7:30 rolls around, no table. Hostess then tells us she’ll be seating one party and then we’re next. We watch 3 parties on top of the one that was supposed to be right before us get seated before we’re even acknowledged again, 2 of which are other parties of 2. Now it’s 7:40/7:45 and we’re finally seated for our “reserved” table (table felt like it was in the middle of a walkway). We wait another 15-20 mins before a server even looks at our table, and people seated after us were being served before us (almost felt like we were invisible). Finally we’re greeted, or rather, acknowledged by our server who just walks up and asks, “what can I get you.” No “hello” or “how are you” or anything of the sort, just a cold and blunt “what can I get you.” We order and the food was decent but definitely not nearly good enough to make up for the terrible service so far. We’re served our nigiri and I go to order another roll, only to find out that they’re OUT OF RICE. This was the cherry on top of an overall horrible experience. Hopefully other people don’t deal with something like this, but I won’t be risking it by coming back to this place
Small place. Always busy. But amazing food! Always our go to spot for good sushi
Great sushi. I recommend garlic edamane
I usually dont leave reviews like this. Had a reservation 615. Finally at 638 hostes tried to sit us at table that was unoccupied whole time. We chose to sit at a different table (our bad)and was stuck in a corner with a wall that made us practically hidden to server. Asked for bottled beer, was brought draft. Ordered Hot saki ... it was Luke warm. Escalar sashimi was warm. Is there a Wasabi shortage? Never plated.. when asked for some... brought size of pinky nail.... edemami cold....play girl role was good... sesemee chicken drenched in sauce, served warm. My wife said her role was just ok.. skinny role though.... Table needed screws, paint peeling off wall. Server was nice, friendly. Kan pai was considered top of sushi places for us, but wow, what a down turn. $153.00 wasted. (Plus $25 tip)
The miso black cod was phenominal!! The portions are smaller, but I think that is reflective of traditional Japanese offerings! Also, I had an excellent waiter who took time to offer suggestions taking the guesswork out of the experience for me!!
