Got a plain espresso , super sour not sure if it was the beans being used but eh couldn't drink it , prefer my espressos , if u take milk and sugar it should be better , clean store friendly environment. Weird

Tasteless latte and barista burnt the milk. My guess is undertrained on the steaming of oat milk and dialling in of the coffee. I wouldn’t have wrote this review but the fact I paid more for it than I do in the brilliant speciality coffee shops I go to in LA means I had to do it.

I come here for coffee whenever I'm in Pismo. It's right next to the parking lot by the pier and is super convenient. This place does milk art on their lattes which is a step above the rest. They're super friendly whenever I go and I have literally nothing bad to say about the place.Parking: It's right next to the paid parking lot at Pismo Pier

Great coffee! Didn't try anything else yet but coffee was stellar.Friendly service, clean space, lots of windows for people watching. You do need to use the restrooms on the Pier. And there is an outdoor space. Not sure if it's Ok for dogs?? Great place for coffee.

Picked up two Gibraltar's this morning. Service was quick and efficient. The coffee had a fruity, smoothness without the bitterness of an over-roasted coffee. Portion is pretty small though so we augmented it with the milk on the counter. Would recommend! Great place to get a quality cup of joe!

The location is great, the coffee is also nicely decorated. Service is also nice...but, Coffee Americano is a bitter dishwashing water that needs at least half an hour to be drinkable, but that doesn't improve the taste significantly...the whole thing for 5 dollars...without more words...

I'm giving this shop a 5 star but I want to point out that I meet probably the rudest person on my trip to California behind the counter. However, I don't believe the actions of one should ruin it for the shop. Young man with long hair, sorry you don't like your situation, but we didn't put you there..The reality is the food was good, the coffee's were good and that's what I came for. We visited it twice on the same weekend. Great location but get here early in this area if you want up close parking.Neat little shop and i would rather stop here than the chain coffee shops. So ya check them out for sure. From here its a short walk to the pier and everything else this little town has to offer.

The coffee drinks were ok, but not amazing. I'd say the bean quality was 'tre ordinaire'. The breakfast bun was fantastic (I'd say it was from a commercial bakery). The house-made breakfast burrito was also ok, but not what I was hoping for. Three coffee drinks, a breakfast bun and burrito, plus a shame tip when you pay... $44. You've been warned. The location is wonderful, but I'm not going back. Also, the barista was seen emptying the trash can (pulling the full bag out and replacing). He then squirted a tiny amount of hand sanitizer on his hands and gave a 1 second rub... then went back to making drinks. I know this is not the required protocol. He eventually did go to the sink station and properly wash his hands. I can't imagine any reason why this place would stay in business.

Though there are a few coffee places in the downtown Pismo Beach area, Kraken looked the most legit. Their menu is simple and more directed towards serious coffee drinkers. I got the nitro cold brew with a splash of oat milk, and it was smooth and strong. The pastries actually looked pretty good (respectable looking croissants!), so I got a bacon and date scone - it was a more unique flavor combination, and it was good heated up.Staff were friendly and helpful, and their location is great right by the pier.

I’ve never seen a “nitro” cold brew out of the tap so watery. Pass. Do yourself a favor and get a legit coffee over at Esteem Surf Shop.
