We went for dinner on a Sunday night. It was our first time there and it almost empty at 6:00pm. The setting was nice and the service was very good. I was disappointed with the Wagyu Picanha Steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, but it seemed small for 8 oz and was very tough and somewhat grisly, and the mashed potatoes were nothing special. On the other hand, my wife's Whole Branzino was excellent and something not often seen on a menu.
Food was good. I had the salmon; my husband had the steak and mashed potatoes. Our server was "fine" but I did have to ask for a refill for my tea two times.
Food was fantastic but even better was the service from student librarian Lisa and her colleague Brea.
We dined in for the Christmas Eve menu. Everything was great. Our server, Carlos, was a gem.
It was supposed to be breakfast with Santa, but Santa never even showed up. And the food was cold.
Had an exceptional waiter (Lisa) who made the dinner memorable. Her food recommendations were just perfect.
Service staff is polished but caring - always good there! However maintenance should trouble-shoot the lighting and heaters PRIOR to the restaurant opening, so that we would not have to endure the interruptions. Food pretty good, although my favorite crab cake was not up to either par or the $22 charge per cake. Also, I asked for a "real" Margarita, i.e. just tequila, lime juice, and Triple Sec, but I'm pretty sure I got some sweet-and-sour in there too. Ugh!
Beachside dining in the evening was comfortable thanks to the heater. Catch of the day ceviche, papas bravas, bitter & sweet salad, and wagyu were all good. Service was pleasant.
Very disappointed today as we were excited about a lunch with friends and the restaurant was not great. Told we couldn't sit on the restaurant patio during lunch...weird. The food was just okay. This restaurant used to be so much better and the service was also better. The place inside was pretty much empty. Sad that such a beautiful place isn't doing better...not just for travelers staying at the hotel but for locals who would be there in droves if the food and service were better. Hoping they figure it out.
What a view! And the food is really good. There happened to be a Corgi Convention the night we visited, so I bet that it is usually a lot quieter. The food is expensive, but you have to pay for the ambience. Worth it.

Absolutely satisfying service. Ryan went above and beyond. Awesome ambience! When each dish titilates your taste buds, you know the chef has done what it needs to satisfy the customer/diner. Presentation, ingredients, and optimal cooking time and preparation made the experience top notch
Chilaquiles, were amazing just needed more cheese to make it perfect. Chicken sausage for the chilaquiles made my day. Churro French toast was delicious. Americano coffee and regular coffee were good with the Breakfast.
Great place to eat. We went for dinner and sat outside. Great view of the ocean right before sunset. Our waitress Emily was so pleasant and made sure we were taken care of.
I thought the food and wine were both quite good. I had the veggie enchiladas (mushrooms) and a glass of sauvignon blanc. Yes I'd eat here again. Service and everything else was good also.
It was our first time going to Pequin Coastal Cocina. The service was great and the food was excellent. A little pricey but we enjoyed it. The ambiance was great 😊
