Still great quality clam chowder, fish and chips. shrimp was ok. Fun beach vibe. Always busy.Kid-friendliness: My kids love the chowder we opt for the sliced sourdough loaf target than the bread bowl because it's easy to share as a family. Same great taste, more toastiness

First time ever being there first time ever being in Pismo Beach weird great things about this place so we decided to eat here my lady got the Clam chowder bowl we both thought it was odd that there is cheese inside and the clams so chewy and tasteless the bread bowl was nice and fresh and it was very sour I got the salmon burger with a side of chili I thought the salmon burger was okay I did not much care for the sloth they had on top and the bread was a little dry hoping for brioche bun would have elevated the sandwich a little better also maybe herb aioli would do really well on the salmon burger my chili was okay nothing fancy but it definitely was fresh ( I hope) overall what's a okay place definitely a tourist attractionThank you for taking the time to read my short review ?Vegetarian options: Kind ofDietary restrictions: Not sureParking: Its a little hardKid-friendliness: Of courseWheelchair accessibility: I dont think so very crapped in there

Although I am not a chowder fan, my bf insists on going to the splash cafe every time we are in the area. He gets the chowder with the seafood toppings. I got the chicken sandwich which came on a sesame bun and was surprisingly good for just being simple. Our other friend got the clam chowder “fully loaded” which comes with bacon and seafood topping and other things- she LOVED it. We also got fish n chips and the ahi tacos both which were fresh and had very good flavor !

Probably the best chowder ever with toasted bread and green onions! They also sell cool t shirts and have a sticker wall! We will return!

I'm local, I've locals laugh at folks that bother to waste their money here. The most bland commercial lousy clam chowder I've ever had in my life and a premium price no less Do yourself a solid and get the hell away from downtown Pismo, pop over to Shell Beach and try the fantastic chowder at Zorros, Mersea's over in Avila Bay or Fat Cat's.... don't be a Tourista

Best clam chowder I've ever had. Even though the line looks really long and intimidating, it moves quite fast! I love the clam paintings on the wall, it really adds to the vibes.

It was some good clam chowder. For me, it just wasn't the amazing clam chowder as promoted so heavily. For me it's too heavy on the butter and the clams were chopped up too fine. The result was small pieces that didn't square up with the incredibly rich and creamy base. I know I'm in the minority and I appreciate the large number of five star reviews. It all but buries my three stars. I had a straight pint with no toppings. For me, great chowder doesn't need fixings. Our other tub of goodness came in a bread bowl. The bowl was a French bread that did the job. I don't believe it was sourdough. No tang or pull at all. Again, it was good but not great. Prices were very fair. Came in on a Wednesday in early April and the frequently mentioned line was not there and seating was readily available. I would certainly go again if others wanted to. It's just not something I would seek out. Obviously I'm in the minority here.
