My husband and I are business owners so we understand customer service, this place deserves negative stars because of the person in the front. If it weren’t for my hungry littles, I would have walked straight off and canceled my order. Food is good, atmosphere is great, on the pier. But the cranky dude that takes orders is extremely short and rude towards customers. I did not see the sign for the stand where they ask customers not to touch anything (it was half covered with plastic from one of their bins), and I approached to fill up some ketchup containers. He very rudely asserted himself and told me to walk off and that there’s a reason there is a sign. I was pretty embarrassed bc he was loud and everyone heard and I was just not aware. It is my birthday today too and came out to spend time with my family. Super disappointed in his lack of manners and customer service. Will not be coming back here again unless they train their staff properly on how to interact with people.

Currently at this place, has taken forever to get my food, my boyfriend got his after a long time and has now finished eating before I have event gotten mine. They are super nice but too expensive and took way too long for such a small proportions. Food was ok but honestly go eat somewhere else. Tourist

Fish n Chips was waaaay more breading than fish. Double the amount of fries that a single person could eat. Bland flavors. Didn’t have water or most of the sodas on their menu. Burger wasn’t bad. Aggressive birds anywhere. High prices. Best part was the ocean (beautiful) and iced tea (normal).

We had the fish&chips and the Bala tacos, both of them are really good! This was my first time eating fish&chips and the fish is juicy and chips are very crispy, I have been trying several other fish&chips but none of them work as good as the one at Sunset! The Bala fish taco was also very good, full of flavors. Would definitely come back for the great food!

My girlfriend and I ordered the steak sandwich and fish & chips. The steak sandwich is one of the best sandwichs I ever tried and I highly recommend it. I usually don't like/eat fish but this fish & chips were amazing. While the food might me a bit pricey it is defenetly worth it. 10/10 from both of us.

First time here. I have my favorite place to eat when I’m in town but decided to try something different. I settled on Sunsets at Pismo because of the location on the pier and the view of the ocean. As. DF and GF person I figured I would get the hotdog which was still pretty pricey. It’s a hotdog with caramelized onions, shrimp bacon and a sauce. No idea what the sauce was but figured I would take the chance. I was enjoying the wait right up till the pigeons decided to come and walk around and under my table. I have a horrible phobia of birds. So I began yelling and moving the chairs to try to scare them. That didn’t work. They were not afraid. I waited for what felt like forever. The food that came out to the people near me looked good. Mine finally came out and looked really good. I took my first bit and realized it was cold. The onions were really not caramelized. I ended up eating the shrimp and bacon and a bite or two of the hotdog.

Steak sandwich was perfectly prepared. Bun tasted bakery quality & good fries. It’s located on the pier, next to Visitor’s Center, in an Airstream. It’s California, at is best! Bring your good energy & sunglasses!
Parking: Metered street parking everywhere. Follow Pomeroy Ave towards ocean, at the end is a large fee based parking is the closest lot.
