I’m giving a update. Unfortunately I can’t give a good review this time because what used to be delicious food is no longer delicious. The quality of the food has changed so much and the flavor has changed from all my favorite dishes I used to order even portions of the ingredients are less. Before COVID-19 I used to go to this place at least once a week. After COVID-19 I noticed everything has changed from staff to the food so I’m assuming that they have different cooks and it’s unfortunate because after giving it 3 chances too many to see if it would go back to what it once was I had decided I would never go back. The place needs some love because it was dusty and what used to be our favorite sitting place ( comfy booths in the back) are damaged and need to be replace. The place looks like it’s starting to fall apart. What used to be my number one place to eat at is only a pleasant memory in the past. I do not recommend this place any longer unless they go back to the original recipes and quality of food that I used to be.
I just had the chili basil dish with basil rice. It was delicious. It was also quiet not like some of the other places in town and the price was very good! I'm looking forward to coming back.
Watch out your check for this dishonest restaurant!I ordered twice from this restaurant during my stay at Pismo Beach last week and got frauded twice. First order was a take-out and the total charge on the receipt is $42.99. I signed $2 on-site as the tip, so total should be 44.99; however, now the charge displayed on my bank statement is 48.99. Luckily, I kept every receipt for this trip and disputed the amount of money stolen from me. My second order from this restaurant was through Uber eats and I specifically addressed I need utensils on the order call. Guess what? Not only the utensils but also a bowl of rice from my order was missing. The best part was I could do nothing on such kind of "negligence". It is not worth any time or energy when you are on a beach, right? So, DONT eat/order there and give no chance to let this creepy restaurant to ruin your moods while staying at this amazing place.
Where to start.....Positives.Friendly waiter. The veg in the dishes were fresh and not over cooked.Negatives.Poor quality meat in the dishes. Most.lokeku frozen.Dishes lacked the "punch" of Thai flavours I've come to expect from this type of cuisine.I felt like the food had probably seen a microwave, not a wok or equivalent. Is massively in need of a refurb. They display awards from 5 years ago on the walls, but no recent ones.... that points to a restaraunt in decline. The kind of place that feels like it's living off its previous success.Points to a change in chef.I'm a chef myself, so can see the signs of a restaraunt in decline.Sadly, I can't recommend it for the price.
This restaurant is a Disgrace to the name *thai food*Empty restaurant should have been first cue. We missed. Really wondering how it got good ratings!! Surprised.1) very much disappointed2) long waiting time after ordering food.3) small insects, not sure light flies, or what, kept on disturbing our table.4) veg spring roll- until and unless u like raw leaves wrapped in rice paper, not a good option.5) extremely over priced. Just a small half palm size grilled, no taste salmon with half plate filled with leaves $24. Unbelievable6) soup very salty.
Food was not as good as before. The pumpkin pieces in the curry felt a bit stale and tofu in another dish was cold, like put after the dish was prepared.
We went twice on our recent vacation. The servers are welcoming and knowledgeable about veganizing dishes. We told them we were Vegan and they made sure not to use fish sauce or egg. They have soft tofu and a delicious mock duck for most of their dishes. We loved the Panang Red Curry with Tofu, Fried Springrolls, Pad See with Mock Duck, Pad Thai with Mock Duck, Green Curry with Tofu and extra vegetables, and Mango and Sticky Rice.
The restaurant looks very nice and the food comes out fast. We ordered a Tom yum soup—not sour and not spicy. The rice that comes with it was half-cooked, half raw. For a rice eating “country” how’d they messed up the rice? We ordered a noodle dish also, it was seasoned ok but the portion was small for $18. Too expensive. The pad Thai was overly sour with vinegar. Never coming back
Mock duck option is awesome for vegetarians like I. Average price. They should fried their tofu. A little too sweet
Food Quality (Bad): Most of the dishes that we ordered were very salty. They also don't have any special taste to it, very below average in taste compared to other Thai restaurants that we been to.Service (below average): The restaurant was empty so we got seated right away. But our server was not sensitive and made a couple mistakes.Price (expensive): Thai foods are not cheap, but this restaurant's pricing is even more expensive than most other Thai restaurants that I've been to. Food portions are very small and mostly padded with fillers like onions, tomatoes or bell peppers. Came out to about $35/person.

Beautiful lay back Thai restaurant, great food presentation…. But the spice or the seasoning did not win me at all. I would expect more of a Thai spice & taste to give it the right taste! The hot pot did not have no fire to keep it hot, but I did enjoy the staffs energy. Very slow at seating you when there’s so many tables open. But I can see the staff was under staffed. Thank you for the experience.
Friendly service, fresh vegetables, but food didn't have layers of flavor I expect from Thai. Added spice made it spicy, but still not flavorful. We had 3 dishes all with same experience. Thai tea was excellent.
We were seated right away. There were only two other party's there. It took us 35 min to receive one of our dishes and another 10min for the 2nd dish. The Thai Beef Salad was a bit salty and the portion was also small. The garlic chicken was good. The mango with sticky rice was okay but the mango wasn't very sweet. When the bill came I noticed they charged us $10 for two Thai teas. It was $3 each on the menu. He said that they charged us the takeout price so he deleted one of them off the bill. The server was friendly and attentive but the food came out slow and tasted just okay. I don't think I would come back.
The Thai tea was a bit dense but nothing a bit of water can’t fix. The Thai wonton were good with the sauce on the side. The meat in the noodles was too rubbery. I ordered a side of sticky rice but it was way too over cooked where it had a layer of dried up rice and the foil was stuck leading me to remove the entire piece off losing more of the existing small portion of rice. Mmmm the service wasn’t the best given how empty the place was there should’ve been a little bit more interaction between Jose and us. I noticed a bit of distance between our table in particular… he could have had a bad day but the lack of attention to customers and preference is a bit unnecessary. Seemed like the most interaction and politeness wasn’t until it was time to pay which is a bit upsetting.
We wanted to have good Thai food, and what we got was not that. All of the shrimp we received was not cleaned/deveined. We got four different dishes, all with shrimp. Every single dish the shrimp was not deveined. That can leaned to food poisoning and a health code violation. We let the chef know and they refused to work with us.
