Drive by this place and they were just a few blocks from the hotel we stayed at. Fast service and delicious food. Views were beautiful. And reasonably priced. Definitely will go back if we ever pass through or stay again.

Hands down the best steak and lobster we’ve had in the area! The food was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were incredible. Our server Caleb provided phenomenal service, attentive, kind, and made the entire experience even better. As locals from San Luis Obispo County, we truly appreciate great food and hospitality, and Vista absolutely delivered. Not to mention beautiful views as well. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m glad we made reservations for the weekend dinner. Great restaurant with top-notch service, delicious food, and beautiful views of the ocean. I recommend trying some starters, like calamari or steak tartar. Many options for dinner, including kids dishes. And…pineapple bread pudding!

I absolutely loved this place, with the great view of the Pismo Beach to the service and food. The wait took 10 minutes, and we had a great experience from our server Caleb. The drinks and food were delicious and the appetizers were great. I highly recommend this place. All around great experience.

I think I might be Vista's biggest fan. We come all the time. All the little touches that make a dinner out exceptional are part of the Vista experience. From the complimentary fresh bread on the table when you arrive to the Andes mint at the end. No matter the size or time of our party, they always seem able to accommodate us. Getting in is always easy and efficient (I've never waited for a reservation) and their hours are better than any other restaurant, as far as they are open later and they are not closed on Mondays, which we appreciate. We never feel rushed at Vista. Even when we have a big group like our birthday dinners, they never make a fuss about finding room for us. Everything I've tried on the nicely varied menu, from the crabcakes to the fish to the pasta to the steaks and the exceptional desserts is delicious and, just as importantly, consistent from one visit to the next. Thr cocktails are always great. The waitstaff is exceptionally friendly without being imposing and they really take care of you- also consistent for every visit. The ambiance works for casual to fine dining- it's clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, welcoming and you can't beat the view of the ocean. Even the parking is easy. Even though I go often, it always feels special. I consider myself a foodie and not very easy to please, but I walk out happy every time I go to Vista. Additionally, I've never brought a friend there who didn't agree that it was a positive dining experience (and I bring many friends to Vista). Thanks Vista! My family appreciates you! You've made many memorable special occasions for us!

We really enjoyed our dinner. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we didn't need anything. We all got the wedge salad which was fresh with plenty of bacon. I got the fillet mignon and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. It came with summer squash and a baked potato. All were cooked well and the veggies were actually fresh tasting and not drowned in oil. We all enjoyed our food. The views are spectacular

One of our favorite places service was excellent view fabulous. The only complaint I have this time is I always get the beef short ribs. This time they were very, very, very salty too salty The wedge salad was very good. The sourdough rolls were very good mashed potatoes and veggies all good. The chocolate lava cake tasted like preservatives is not very good. I don't think you make them there. We really like the carrot cake very good.

Meh, food good not great. Had tonight's special, halibut l, and it was mushy as was the rice. . Steak was overcooked. Great view of beach and sunset. Service was excellent.
The seafood linguini was excellent; (a cross between cioppino and linguini) light tomato sauce and lots of seafood. The baby back ribs were also excellent.

Service and drinks were great. The food was ok. Not great but not bad. We had the pesto salmon with vegetables. They gave us a dessert for our anniversary which was very nice of them. We would go back.

We were visiting Pismo Beach and looking for a restaurant to have our Easter dinner. We had an early afternoon meal at a table along the windows overlooking the beach and the Pacific. It was a magical view. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had a special of halibut. Both our meals were exceptional and perfectly prepared. For dessert we split a pina colada bread pudding , which was unique and flavorful. Our waiter was a college student from San Lois Obispo who was cheerful, welcoming and fun to talk to. The rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend the Vista Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
