Zorro's Cafe & Cantina

Our 1st time early this evening for an early dinner. The food was excellent..from the chips to the enchiladas with beans & rice.
As the place filled up we could see why that restaurant was referred to us.
We live in Lompoc but plan to drive up to enjoy their food again.

Visiting and staying in Pismo Beach with my GF for Valentines day for breakfast we decided on Zorro's Cafe, she ordered the Chile Verde Plate and I The Mesa Mexicano Omlet, both great taste but the pork in the chile verde could have been cut a bit smaller, if visiting Pismo Beach and you enjoy Mexican cooking visit Zorro's.

It's unfortunate so many restaurants in town get good reviews when the food is boring or underwhelming. Typical tourist town reviews in an overall underwhelming food town. But this place was really good. Don't bother with the burrito reviews. They serve shrimp a la diabla... not many serve it and most do it bad. Not in my top 3 but it was good. And the shrimp crab enchiladas with the cream sauce were stellar with a blast from the past response. And they let your dogs in. All out win.

Nice heated dog-friendly patios away from the downtown Pismo Beach tourist bustle, and prices

The food is excellent. However, the dog on the patio that barked any time someone walked by or near him ruined the experience. It started barking when we approached the entrance. Dogs should be controlled when in a public. 1/29/2026 between 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
The chilie Verde and carne asada burritos were fantastic.
