We went to La Veranda for lunch yesterday. We had never been to Pittsburg before so we had no idea where to go. We had such a good time! We started with delicious calamari and my son had a steak sandwich, his girlfriend had a pizza, my wife had a salad (and they gladly added a delicious piece of salmon) and I had the sausage sandwich. We had a golden retriever so we ate at a nice table on the patio. Everything was so good. The service was perfect. It's a family run restaurant so our waiter was the son/nephew of the owners. He helped us navigate the menu and made sure our dog was taken care of. We thought the prices were perfectly appropriate (if not maybe a little low considering the cost of eating out these days). Please, don't miss the tiramisu. It was the best I've ever had. We would definitely go back. It's a little gem of a restaurant!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend me being a foodie I tried it out for the first time. The restaurant is in a beautiful location with a good wait staff the decor was nice but not great. The food is where it got me the food lacks in flavor for what it's worth I was disappointed. I also bit into a piece of a broken clam shell in my ravioli that was not suppose to be there.

First time here at this family owned restaurant here in Downtown Pittsburgh. Johnny, the owner and his son Jake greeted us upon our arrival and provided us with such great service that I will definitely be returning back here to have a full meal in the very near future. I will say that this place is definitely a local favorite since it was packed upon our entry with a couple of tables celebrating their birthdays here this evening. The plates I saw coming out to the tables surrounding me looked so delicious!

Now THAT's Italian! So glad this place was recommended to us. Been looking for fresh , authentic Italian dishes and this place is spot on. The lasagna is amazing, the carbonara is rich and flavorful, and the bread & spread they offer is delicious! Plenty of seating area and service is friendly- we will definitely be back!

Can't believe me and my wife have never stopped to eat here before. We came in Valentine's Day for our second date night here and both times we were very pleased with the entire experience! The food tastes like it's the only true home cooked meals around and the owner is the Bar tender and makes awesome drinks. I'll attach a few pictures of our meals, my wife got the lasagna and I got the chicken Piccata which was excellent as well. We will for sure be coming back for more date nights My wife's drink was a Lemon Drop and I had a Bloody Mary, both were good Thank you to the owner for Providing Pittsburg with healthy Quality food

This restaurant is such a gem! I found it on yelp while searching for a restaurant that had Italian food and particularly seafood and were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, Mohana, was very sweet and attentive. She took her time explaining their top dishes and helped us pick some great options. We started with the calamari which was super fresh and delicious. For the main course, my husband wanted something cheesy so he went with the lasagna and I got the special which was a lamb shank. Our kids had the chicken fingers and fries and the cheeseburger with fries. Overall our dinning experience was amazing and we are excited to go back. We even took some pictures because the decor it super cute. Reminds me of a restaurant in SF but with more reasonable prices. When we were walking out I noticed what looked like Sangria but the owner said it was jungle juice and he even let me try it. I'll definitely have to get a glass of it next time along with the prosciutto pizza . Thanks for making our dinning experience unforgettable and see you soon!
